Pacific Air Lines Flight 773 was a Pacific Air Lines Fairchild F-27A airliner that crashed at 6:49 a.m. on May 7, 1964 near San Ramon, California, USA. The crash was likely the first instance in the United States of an airliner's pilots being shot by a passenger as part of a mass murder/suicide
Julie Clark, one of three daughters of the murdered Captain of Pacific Air Lines Flight 773, and orphaned at the age of 15 by her father's death, grew up to become a commercial airline pilot for Northwest Airlines, and performs aerobatic displays at airshows. She retired from NWA before the merger between Northwest and Delta Airlines

Marketing agreement with Midwest ends
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
March 30, 2010
Delta will discontinue its codeshare and frequent flyer program with Midwest on June 7 because of the airline’s change in ownership and business strategy. There will be no noticeable impact on Delta customers since Delta serves every destination served by Midwest.
Upon termination, Delta and Midwest customers will no longer be able to redeem miles or earn credit on each other’s flights or share airport lounges.
“Midwest has been a good partner, and we appreciate their customers’ business with us over the past few years,” Delta said in a statement Tuesday.

Yeah, thats the agreement with Midwest. Which is nothing. Somebody mentioned Delta terminating their codeshare agreements with Shuttle and CHQ. This is what I'd like confirmation of. The Midwest agreement is a frequent flyer program. It has nil effect on Republic. The codeshare agreement with Delta and shuttle/chq is major contract that if terminated, would park a lot of planes and furlough.
Delta and Midwest Airlines had a code-share (you could buy a ticket via the Midwest Airlines website and travel on a Delta airplane). Also, you could earn Midwest FF miles for doing so. Those two agreements are being terminated.
I'm up at NATCO in IQ on the 320. Lot's of talk up here about:
1) 767ER to SEA, Some 330 time to ATL and NYC on the May AE. People are starting to ref conversations with CP's.
2) Guam base
3) Short manning for the summer.
What's the latest?

I know it's already existing flying to some extent - but with all the reduction in flying in ATL and NYC - does anyone thing there might be some pull down from those bases? Obviously we know that the CVG ER base is closing at some point. I remember seeing that the CVG ER base was doing some of the Pacific flying. Wonder if that's enough to cover the planned SEA flying?
Limited number of SEA ER slots from what the CP's are saying.
As for IQ, you never know who is on this board. If you wife is north of 163 she probably has most beat
In reality who cares. We are just "dumb" pilots and they are "dumb" Flight Attendants.
Most of the FA's I talk to are very interesting. Multiple Degrees, Masters, PHD's. When I ask why they do this, the answer varies. Some have husbands that make the money, and others really do not care about money and want to travel, some just got stuck doing a job they generally like. It is not all about smarts. Some of it has to do with your time outside of work. Both their job and ours allows opportunities that you would not have otherwise.
