Sounds like a lot of the longer Asia trips will be out of SEA............I might see you up here?

Where do ya go to check this??? Good luck on the bid Denny.

Keenster,

On ICrew, go to Bids > Advance Entitlements > See Projected Number by Category

Next time will call the dispatcher to see what the reason is. Probably trying to make up time.
Delta is using the cost index and flight plans speeds to protect A+0 and A+14 if able when running late. If not then you often go back to econ even though you will be even later. The decision to go back to econ is made based on passengers connections and rebooking options. Lots of things as pilots we don't have information on. In one case we questioned a cost index of 555 on the 7ER that had us arriving 1 hour early and doing .835 to 84 most of the trip. Turned out they had two broken jets in ATL and really needed the aircraft for a SA trip.

Isn't it under option 3, "Count Pilots Holding a Preference for a specific category" ?

Guys,
I have a silly question on pilot hiring and flow through from Compass and Mesaba.

Will their pilots be given an interview or will they be hired straight into classes without any interview process?

Thx

flowthroughs dont have to re-interview. They're initial interview was their interview for DAL.

Thanks Keenster! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Are you sticking with the 744? As the others mentioned, in ICREW, you go BIDS, ADVANCE ENTITLEMENT then it its the third choice Unclesam said.

It's a nice tool to get an idea of where you stand but don't take it to the bank. That number only show the pilots senior to you that have a bid in as an AE. It does NOT include pilots who only have in a VD or MD. Nor can you tell if any one has put in qualifiers such as "reg line only" etc.

Guys can look at the total number and get discouraged from bidding but you just never know and, generally speaking, you can semi-discount the number of pilots that have the bid in but it's lower than their 3rd choice. You do have to take into account some guys who bid stuff they know they cannot hold but most do not do that.

"UAL Corp. CEO Glenn Tilton Joins Secretary of Transportation Advisory Committee".

Anyone know if a DAL representative will be on this?

Is it true there is a pack of wild dogs running around JFK's perimeter? All lost in transit?

Anyways, check out the story below...
