If you saw that view you should have been wondering "which way will they want me to turn on the go-around," or "I wonder if full slaps, full speedbrakes, gear down, idle thrust will get me down in time"! (I would opt for the go-around...just my own "personal viewpoint")...And ATL handles traffic way better than DFW...

I hear ya, I just thought ATL was easier to get into operationally. Personal best in DFW was 5 changes in one arrival.
About five to six years ago they transitioned to computer assigned arrival runways. It has reduced that to a; "Hey you want 17C?" |
