Why did I only get 10 X days in June. My CQ was pre scheduled with 4 days. LOA 20 says they shouldn't be prorated. Is this an error, or I am missing something.

We did that at NWA and most guys liked having a long stretch on duty, especially commuters.

Just a note about the 24 hours off...it can be on a layover. I once had a 8 day stretch of duty with a 3 day trip during that duty. The 24 hours off was on a layover in Fargo in the winter. (30 hour layover)

I don't know for sure, but I think they have to be added manually by scheduling.

I noticed a comment on my buddies schedule in DBMS saying that an X day was added for LOA20. The scheduled aren't final until they are in DBMS anyway - give them until the 17th.

Rotations beginning in January 2011 bid period or earlier:

Amend Section 23 Z. 4. a. and b. as follows:
3. When a reserve pilot is scheduled for a known period of absence in the upcoming bid
period, his X-days will be pro-rated for the absence under the chart in Section 12 N. 7.
His reserve guarantee will be reduced by 1/30th or 1/31st for each day of the absence,
and he will be paid the value of the absence in addition to any other pay for the bid period.

Exception: X-days will not be prorated for a period of absence due to CQ training.
Assume a 30-day bid period, with ALV = 75:00 and a reserve guarantee of 70:00
hours in the examples below.

a. Example 1 – Pilot has seven days of vacation in the bid period.

What do the retirements look like with the combined seniority list and age 65 rule? I tried the search function which produced nothing and I did not want to go through 38000 posts on here.

There is a new list published on the Crew Resources page, lower right column under Staffing Lists | Scheduled Retirements. Shows age 65 retirements as of 01 May 10 through 2048, which covers everyone on the current SL.

... and the way to game this is to move your X days into your non leave working days, since the proration does not look at whether you are unavailable during OFF days or ON days.

I learned this the heard way, as I had moved my OFF days to the period where I anticipated taking leave. The company pro rated my off days, resulting in losing pay on days I wasn't supposed to be available anyway.

... and that was just the start of the fun. Moral of the story, get a vasectomy.

Where did you find this part "beginning in January 2011 bid period or earlier" I didn't see that in the LOA or in the Negotiators Notepad 10-01
