Do you ever tire of being negative (and wrong)?:D

You predicted furloughs. We're hiring.

You predicted merger disaster. Even though you're incredibly junior and we've just passed through one of the most damaging airline recessions in history, you've been reinstated. So has ACL. Denny got a coveted SEA bid. A whole bunch of people who used to commute long distances are now doing it shorter. A whole bunch of people are in higher paying positions.

You predicted a Mesa win. They lost, in spite of the testimony of the guy you wanted to "lead" this company.

Now it's your turn to tell me the light is a freight train...

Did you see how junior the 7ER went there? Of course, many bids like this and you'll be the one drinking the coffee while your FO runs around the airport looking for a ladder and a stick!

This was a GOOD BID! ... and to you who though junior folks would not be holding the ER SEA ... :)

iaflyer 05-19-2010 05:54 AM

SEA7ER went more junior than I thought.

AND - I got based at home, in DTW on the plane I'm on now. No training and no commuting. Incredible!

You want the guy writing job protection language to plan for the worst case scenario in the hopes it never gets used.

I'm most pleased to eat crow and consider this post a coupon for the beverages of your choice while you make jokes about the inaccuracy of my dire predictions. While avoiding furlough and displacement, I'll laugh with you.

With regard to Mesa. The Judge appears to have reversed himself based on:
  • Mesa approached Delta asking for a revision of the contract so that requested cancellations would not be counted (documenting that Mesa knew they were counted against them)
  • Mesa was accusing Delta of being unfair while cheating Delta on the billing. The misrepresentations really harmed Mesa's credibility.
... and I am very glad you were right.

Got an AE to the 73 in NY. Bunch of people came in on top too. I hope I didn't eff myself...

ACL congrats on your reinstatement. I guess all that MSP talk was worst case scenario.

Good A/E Hope they get even better.
