Is there a way to look at our schedules prior to that little X showing up on dlnet?? Someone mentioned something about looking at open time and PCS but I can't figure it out.

I know you used to be able to look it up via the schedule check Function key in one of the PCS templates but I believe that the company closed that loophole awhile ago.

I heard at a base meeting somewhere that they said that for 2011 we are growing domestic by 10%. Holy Crap!!! Thats a ton of flying!! Dont know how much of it is DCI vs. Delta. But this year was 5.7%. Add another 10% and you can see the need for another 600 bodies!!!

I thought LOA 22 had something on it about getting released at noon? It wouldn't make any sense for it to say you'd get released going into a golden day/vacation day because that was already in the contract. I'll have to look at it to see if I'm misreading something.

Default Delta mechanic dies at Minneapolis-St. Paul

I hope his death was from natural causes. Prayers for his friends, family, & loved ones.

Delta Air Lines
A Delta Air Lines Inc. mechanic died while working on a plane at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Tuesday morning, the company said

The worker was working on an Airbus A319 set to fly out of the airport early Tuesday, Delta spokesman Anthony Black said. He was found unconscious around 5:30 a.m.

Black said he did not know what kind of maintenance the mechanic was performing, but that the Atlanta-based airline was cooperating with authorities in their investigation.

The mechanic's name is being withheld pending family notification.

"We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends and our full support to them and our employees in Minneapolis," Black said.

The accident did not cause any delays or cancellations, Black said.

Emergency responders found the mechanic inside the wheel well of the nose landing gear, said airport spokesman Pat Hogan.

They checked for a pulse but found none, he said.

Airport police and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.

Thumbs up Delta Air Lines sees double-digit unit revenu

On Tuesday June 15, 2010, 10:07 am EDT
NEW YORK (AP) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. says its unit revenue will improve by double digits throughout the summer compared with a year earlier, although the rest of the year might fall short of that.

That's because the economy was starting to improve in the fall of 2009, making the comparisons less dramatic, President Ed Bastian said Tuesday at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Transportation Conference.

The world's largest airline sees "considerable strength internationally" in the second-quarter, especially in Asia.

Delta expects passenger revenue per available seat mile to rise about 20 percent in June compared with a year earlier. Passenger revenue per available seat mile is an important industry metric that measures how much money the airline makes per mile for every paying passenger.

Before LOA 22, if you were on long call going into golden/vac/MIL/ALPA days, you were automatically released at noon on your last day. Otherwise, you could call to get released.

However, they could put you on short call on the last day, from, say, 0530 to 1730.

What LOA 22 did is that if you are going into golden/vac/MIL/ALPA days and they put you on short call on the last day, you will be automatically released at noon. So using the above scenario, your SC would run from 0530 to 1200. Keep in mind that this does not prevent them from giving you something during that period that gets you back after 1200.
