Hey guys and gals,

Been on a holiday with the family. Or a bromance getaway to San Francisco where Carl and I rekindled our relationship. You choose the scenario.

Anyway, whats the latest on the upcoming AE? Nobody seems to know much. ACL? Prior to the days off I flew a bunch and nobody had anything. Where's the beef?

Default More 747's?

Another forum reporting DAL increasing the 744 fleet to 25, 9 birds coming from JAL. Anyone heard anything reliable on this?

Had one of the Inspectors working in the Directors office of the Southern Region on our jumpseat from DCA a month ago. The number he gave was 25 total 744s. He said to look for a lot more 777s as well based on the penalties we have against Boeing on the 787 delays. I know that has been discussed before but I thought I would include his remarks on that.

Stupid question ... I keep trying to list myself non-rev for a flight and the seat option is defaulted to business. I thought we weren't supposed to ever select that?

Is it a mistake? Should I select coach instead?

You betcha. he company almost went BK in 93 was the direct result of a LBO baron named Chechi and gang. In 1990 NWA went overnight from a company that had ZERO long term debt to one whose future was leveraged by $4B.

Easier than buying a house. The LBO gang used $400,000 of their own money and used the assets of NWA to buy itself. Brilliant, except eventually it had to be paid back.

Just be glad Chechi and gang decided to buy NWA and not DAL. Or DAL would have been near BK in 93.

Buzz,

I know you don't want to have to go 30 pages back to catch up, so....

The latest word a few pages back is the AE will be out the first week of September with another one to follow in January.

For the September AE

20 crews for the 747-400
20 crews for the 777 and
?? crews for 7ers.

I don't know if the ??'s mean a lot or a little.

I heard you fell down laughing and had to take the picture from a ditch. What or who exactly was in that ditch?

WOW...brings up a whole new angle to the SLI. The 747s would be new aircraft and not subjected to fences, and the 777 would be replacement for 787s and subject to fNWA seat febce.
