Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Nosmo,
I think Slows post is right on the mark, but from your post I infer that you believe NW was in a much stronger overall position than DAL.
Wasn't that exactly the debate settled by the neutral third party arbitrators when they ruled both companies were essentially "equals?"
In case anyone else is getting tired of rehashing old arguments - how do I get a drop request to appear as Qualified open time?

You have to post it as a Personal drop via the PCS template.

ON the lastest conf call our president stated we will have an announcement on the JFK terminal situation in 60 days. Is it just me but it seems we put out one of these 60 days notices ref JFK about every quarter.

Thanks for the base notes Denny!
Firstmob. Yep, lets hope we have some 4th of July fireworks in celebration of a full fledged commitment to JFK!
If you are referring to a drop for July, I think you have to wait until the first PCS run on 20th before it will be processed. Then if there is not a swap available, it will show up as QOT.
Well, on a different note, I went to a Fltops management meeting and here are some of the highlights:
- Do not anticipate getting any 787’s for 18 to 24 months not surprised but CAL did announce IAH-Lagos with their 787
- MD 90 qualification for NYC in Fall this year, ATL in Spring of next year cool
- Next AE Bid in Sep-Oct time frame on track
- Possible additional 747, 777 crews movement
- possible a few more 7ER crews in SEA more movement
- SLC to ER category the new normal
- status quo for equipment base re-alignment…no equipment moves…..do not Want to “chase revenues” with base changes. Equipment requirements can Change fairly frequently on routes still love to fly the 320 in ATL, man they are everywhere down here
- some DC 9 positions available too. Keeping some of the -40’s until 1st Quarter of 2011- I don’t know how many not surprised
- 40 crew schedulers total of which 28 are in their first year holy ****
- 330 bases staying where they are now. Possibly change later next year that blows, 764s go ATL>NYC, 330s come to ATL but displaced crews can't bid it so they just move down and everything becomes that much more senior. Come on, 330 ATL!!!
- Hiring
- 305 this year heard 307, 308
I wish they'd make up their minds
- 115-120 total flow ups wow, do CPZ guys held back get a class date when they're held back or when they finally show? The later doesn't seem right.
- as of 17 jun, 46 furlough bypass have sent in letters to come back interesting, what was the bet?
- preferential interviews for guys who had class dates canceled last time answers that
- 2100+ apps in the system WOW, that's it?
- Project retirements to be about 10% for those 60 and over. yeah
- Shipset jepps for 330 in July and 7ER in Oct. you 7ER guys must be jumping for joy... but are these ship sets staying in the plane or are we carrying around the bag for the trip? Again, if its the latter, no thanks.
- 2% capacity growth this year. Close to where we were pre-recession ok
- Should be 8 SAS MD90 coming. (SAS was what was said) Trying to get more ok
- Current debt of 16.4Billion. Expect to see that at 15 Billion by end of this year! yeah
Aware now of the extra gas that the 330 seems to be landing with are they aware of the 747 doing the same?
Disclaimer, These are my interpretations of what was said.

Thanks Denny,
I did that and it was still not showing - maybe a PCS run has to occur first. I also listed it on the swap board thinking if I checked the disclaimer allowing it to be seen it would automatically populate open time - no luck.

Glad to hear the 787 is being mentioned. I think that is the first positive note about the airplane since we merged. I know he said "none for 18-24 months" but that like in Dumb and Dumber... "so you're saying there's a chance!?"
Interesting that they are keeping more DC-9s that they thought. A great airplane to fly around at low fuel costs, matches Airtran well.
More than half the schedulers are new? Explains a lot... but jeeze, get that place organized.
Shipsets... can't be soon enough on the 7ER. I'm not complaining, it's my back that's complaining. Carrying around the US, South America, Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia is a lot of charts. Plus all the enroute charts. And some low charts.
Capacity growth is good. Means the yields are improving I imagine.
Reducing debt is very good - I think that is where airlines like SWA have a big cost advantage over us.
