No, but I started on the 19th and flew a 4-day with 9 legs and was on time for 4 of them, 5 not so much, no weather and a Captain that threw the beacon as soon as the door closed. Without that, probably just 1 or 2 on time. Just calling it how I see it. WDR didn't have any effect for our flights because it wasn't honest, beacon came on prior to push. We beat the flight time on every flight fwiw. Change OUT time to be door, cockpit door and pay INS based, then you'll have real honest info and the ability to figure out what needs changing.

Now, what could help? Don't schedule a 48 minute turn for an 88 that is not condusive to a quick turn especially coming in and out of Florida. We had 18 wheel chairs total to come on and off an airplane. We can't do 48 minute turns on the 88 with wheelchairs.

Now, WDR after push is fine by me. We should be allowed to do numbers on the go, because as I found out this weekend, FO's can taxi just fine for long periods of time. :D Why not allow the FO's to taxi on straight taxiways as the Captain looks at the WDR? He looks at it, FO looks at it, and then they go. It's safe. I've got breaks on my side. Should be the same procedure for any other time a CA has to look down during a taxi, "you're plane."

Also, if your flight is to leave at 9:52am, then D0 should be 5 minutes later, not 9:52. We should be taking care of our passengers right up to 9:52am not right up to 9:42am.

I still remember Aug 8th 1985, our bus was 2 minutes late...

Good memories otherwise

Yeah, but now I have to say:

Dear CPO,
Did you see this moron the other day on the internet talking about D0, WDR and his ideas and stuff? Well, what do you think about what he said? Which was..."

:D

The thing that kills me now is that they are saying that beginning taxi without selecting the flaps is what they think will become best practice. No freaking way. Do they want a flaps up takeoff?

I figured guys would continue to throw on the beacon... very frustrating. They need to show this for what it is. Oh well....

One thing that was suggested was a default flap setting per station. LGA, DCA, SNA etc would always be 15 for the 757/767. Flaps 18 or 23 for the 88 etc.

Well I had one tell us that we can input the numbers at the gate. Of course we waited to do the performance check until after the after start checklist.

Just flew with a LCA and the above is exactly how he said we were required to do it. I also heard (different LCA in van) that after a few months they would loosen up on the requirement to be parked while doing the performance checklist. Not sure if this was just his opinion or actually based on something official.

Isn't that more or less what the new preface thing does?
