For what it is worth - I anxiously awaited a call for a class date. Went to dinner with friends and Delta left a message at 7:45 on a Saturday night. The Delta folks work hard! Could not help myself, called back Sunday afternoon and took the next class date.
So, if you are waiting, keep your phone on. Anyone else in the 01 Oct class? |
Congrats, Gretzky!
Welcome to the Delta family! Looking forward to seeing you around the "campus". I'll be in the middle of my initial MD-88 sim training when you show up. Danimal |
Indoc
I'm just curious . . . what's the schedule like at Indoc? Is it going to be 10-12 hrs/day? Should you expect to work the weekend? Thanks for any info.

Yep...got worried on the call too...any Oct 15 folks here?
|
8-5 Monday through Friday...Sat/Sun off. Some days an hour for lunch...others they cater lunch and you work through.
|
Anyone go through the psych review? I was hoping for an Oct date but now I'm in holding over ATL, non-standard turns, indefinite legs, and no EFC.

Indoc was awesome

FYI...BB is right. I got the call for a 01 Oct training date at 10:30pm (EST) Saturday night while walking back to my car post USAFA/Utah football game. Mr Bolt either works long hours or makes his calls after he tucks the kids in bed. Either way, it relieved a lot of stress...moral of the story, if you're waiting for the next call, Mother D will call at any time.
Anyone else in the 01 Oct class? For all those preparing to interview: Study materials online were right on the money, not quite exact but VERY close. You should have no problem in the knowledge dept. if you've been flying high performance swept wing jets with modern avionics. If not, you can easily get the right books to read and review. Definitely read up on aerodynamics and practice mental math exercises, especially VVI/descent points. The interview process couldn't have been a better experience. The folks at Delta are a class act. Everyone's nice as can be, they try to put you at ease all day long. Prepare thoroughly, be there early, get a good sleep, relax and be yourself! Make sure you triple check your airlineapps package for spelling/grammar errors. Cognitive tests were not really something you can study for. Make sure you thoroughly understand the instructions and practice exercises before you take the tests. Stay relaxed and take a 2 min break if you start to fatigue. Sip some H2o too. The interview itself was professional and relaxed, 2 capts (1 retired, 1 current) and 1 HR gent. A 5 min. review of your airlineapps right off the bat lets you tell your story, add details that provide the bigger picture of who you are and why you'd be a good fit at Delta. Mainly situational questions thereafter. This is my first post, I'm not much of a computer guy... thought I'd share my experiences, hope this helps. |
Training in December
Does Delta take a training break between Thanksgiving and Christmas where they don't start any new-hire classes?
I thought I read something on another board about that, but I can't find it right now. Trying to look at a realisitc timeline for the Fall/Winter months. Thanks, HawgDrvr |
