Just kidding.:D

That is not a option. If TSA mans a crew pass point they want all crewmembers going through that point. We get everyone onboard. They are not going to set up hundreds of checkpoints just for Delta or ALPA pilots.

Orvil, crawl out from under your rock and take a look at the real world.

BTW, has USAPA or APA actually done anything about this other than beat their chests with a big pronouncement? Easy to yell and scream. It's harder to effect change. As usual, ALPA will ultimately be the hammer to find a solution to this.

All that is going on is not reflected in the letter either. PLenty more is happening, again out of the limelight. Hopefully, there will b breakthrough in the near future.

This made me laugh. You shouldn't attack ACL though. He means well. I wish ALPA would put out a harsh public message like the other unions. We need public support to get this changed.

Thanks USAPA. Another example of independent unions being in touch with its members and ALPA being out to lunch. Good thing the guys at DPA have given us a choice.

In touch with their members? USAPA? An association formed specifically to screw over half a pilot group? That's some funny stuff.

Buzz,

When I went through at BWI they had three guys at the computer, maybe they were training, but I don't think so. You know we need more government jobs to get this economy rolling.:D

The times I've gone through BWI it's been one dude, a laptop and a link to CASS. I even peered over his shoulder once just to see how absolutely effortless it is. It's s no brainer.

Well I found out that the flight will be the "afternoon" flight and although it arrives at 10 pm won't be considered a late flight and therefore only need 2 pilots. I know how mountonous it is, I bid it every chance I could.

Would you rather them put out a harsh public message, or work behind the scenes to resolve the issue?

As sailingfun stated so eloquently, its kind of hard to work out a compromise solution behind the scenes AFTER you punch your opponent in the face in public.

How come we don't get someone like Zappos.com to provide the money. Get some corporation to get a little advertisement as each pilot and FA goes through. Get the computers and database server hosting by Apple and as each pilot and FA goes through you can have a loudspeaker or flashing billboard say "SAFE Flying, Brought to you by the iPAD"

Let me fix your post to my liking......

Answer: YES.

Let me disagree with you and sailing here....

Why does a harsh, responsive message have to be viewed as a public punch in the face? Surely, with the amount of talent we have, we can craft a message that gets our point across without hurting the other party's feelings. Hell, maybe it will even teach the powers that be to think before the legislate the next time.

Sometimes you have to let out a bark to let people know there is a dog in the yard..... ;)
