Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Really? Thanks a lot.
Yes, but you're still missing my point. "Knowing" this doesn't automatically mean that everyone is focused on it or even believes it can happen. There have been too many examples of folks (usually big DALPA supporters) downplaying our ability to get these "major gains". This MEC's refusal to identifying our objective is a big problem too, IMO. That sets the wrong tone and allows inappropriate expectations to develop for management and even some in our own pilot group.
No that absolutely would not have been the first question out of my mouth because I don't think that way. Unlike some in our group, I have not allowed my expectations to be managed and therefore do not expect any agreement to have a quid pro quo. If it turns out that an agreement does have this, then yes I would have something to say about that!

Delta Air Lines Inc. will resume non-stop flights between Atlanta and Shanghai -- an aviation link considered critical in growing business relationships between Georgia and China.
Delta (NYSE: DAL) will announce later Tuesday the Atlanta-Shanghai flights as part of a larger announcement of its summer 2001 international air service.
The Atlanta-Shanghai service will begin June 5, 2011 and will operate twice a week using Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
"The resumption of service between Atlanta and Shanghai is the latest demonstration of the key role Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport plays in Delta's global network," said Richard Anderson, Delta CEO, in a statement. "Our longstanding partnership with the city of Atlanta has enabled us to establish our No. 1 international gateway here, building economic and cultural ties between Atlanta and cities across the globe."
Delta had begun non-stop service between Atlanta and Shanghai on March 30, 2008 after being authorized by the U.S. Department of Transportation in September, 2007 that it could fly to China from Hartsfield-Jackson.
But its Shanghai flight was suspended during September 2009 because of the global recession that reduced the number of business travelers flying between Atlanta and China. In addition to the recession, the Asian airline industry was impacted by an outbreak of the H1N1 flu, causing travelers to change their plans.

We'll soon be able to thank Southwest for much of the feed on this new route.
Just wanted to add to the 717 rumor. Neighbor near me is a 4th floor bubba. Slipping an extra shot or two in a cocktail can yield some interesting information. When the 717's were brought up we started talking about buying another airline with 717's. Then there was talk about 3 or 4 potential airlines that had things we wanted. Seems these folks are interested in airlines with pics of people on the tail.
ps. anyone know how to post a pic off of picasa to this site? I did this months ago and can't seem to get it to work now. Used to be I'd click on the little pic with the sun and mountain and insert the 'embed' link from picasa. Now that doesn't seem to work.

Cobham (Aussies)
Blue1 (Finland)
Spanair (Spain)
SAS (Scandinavians)
Turkmenistan (Turkmenistan)
AirTran
Hawaiian.
What else does Hawaiian have that we want. Haneda slots? We already do MX on their A330s. They have B767-300ERs too.
Hm. Anyone with more dots?
