Caddis,

This is my biggest gripe with the current system. White slips have priority over swap with the pot. Don't like it, tell the Scheduling Optimization Team. Maybe there will be enough of us to get it changed.

True, but I still stand by the fact that when I was a commuter I was much more rested. I got a nice nap on the way to work, where as now, I get a nice drive in traffic.

Yep, it is.

If we go to rates that are better than SWA and a DC like Hawaiian, every CAPT will max out quite easily.Tthat is why I think that having this extra bump is something we should ponder.

I thought PCS was suppose to honor seniority. Can someone explain this one to me.
Please provide any updates you get on this as to why this happened. I am very surprised a WS would be awarded that early and thus deprive you of the chance to get the swap. Seriously screwed up.

WS are also the medium used to pick up open time. Someone with VAC that wants to pick up a trip could have easily picked up the whole trip.

I thought WS were only awarded no sooner then two days before the departure date. Is that not true? Still learning

I've been off the grid for a little while. What have I missed as far as the Latest and Greatest of Delta?

AE rumors?
Hiring rumors?

ACL ????

KC10;
For many the world appears quiet, but never believe that. I am sure a lot of things will be coming over the next few months

The few times I have picked up trips I have submitted a WS in the first PCS run and been awarded the trip. It has shown up as a WS.

As for the AE stuff. Look like the Ja/Feb bid will be a standard bit with a a few slots. Training is too backed up to handle more and it would be unwise for the company to use their 365 bid that early. Because of this the bid in April/ May will make the last MOAB bid pale in comparison. On this bid I would expect a few new categories and a ton of training. The company will exercise their contractual right to their one 365 day conversion window on this larger bid that will be in the second quarter of 2011.

I wasn't a Springsteen fan back then... I had two roommates that had extra tickets that they had camped out for.. and viola! Front row.. center... for over four hours they played.. and it was an awesome show. Same tour as yours.. but in Knoxville....
