LOL, ok, I take back that part. I think he still needs a hug and apparently we aren't all giving him one. I know I certainly feel the love when I go through DTW and MSP.

That was the beautiful thing in that you just went in and flew the sim for your check ride just like you flew the line. SOPA (standard operating procedures amplified). Not, well that is what the book says but this is what we do or that is in the oe guide etc. Trying to keep an open mind.

Its a managerial position that oversees sim schedules, instructors, etc. In reality, they have very little impact on operations and/or policies.
If they are nothing other than an empty suit behind a big desk, then why do we have them? The RAD group is really what controls training and they aren't even pilots.

Its November in DTW and MSP. I wouldn't be caught dead without my mukluks and my bearskin jacket. Of course I'll wear my Ushanka with a widget too. Just wish TSA would let me bring my portable heater from my ice fishing shanty.

.
The fleet captains at Delta are all highly involved in the operation.
If you ever need to be talked down, that's who will do it.

I never said they were empty suits. I said that to get your panties in a bunch because this guy is fdal and that guy is not, or that guy is fnwa and this guy is not is simply silly. As ACL pointed out, until the merger they were retired CA's.

Again, please reference the Flight Ops org chart at DeltaNet if you want to see how it all plays out.

Do you need a hug too?
