Comedy legend Leslie Nielsen, who achieved global success in movies such as 'Airplane' and 'The Naked Gun,' has died at age 84.

Absolutely amazing. I sat with my Mom in law and watched (for her) Airplane on Friday for the first time ever. She kept asking, "Is that Leslie Nielsen?".

She will be heartbroken tomorrow. :(

I looked around the ALPA site. Per usual I can't find anything useful there. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I rarely can find the answers I want on that site. I did look at the PWA from DeltaNet, but I guess I was hoping that ALPA put together a "PWA for dummies" since most of what the contract says is mumbo jumbo to me.

OK, even DAL has the PWA on the Flt Ops Site. It is on the main page, I think on the left side about 2/3 of the way down.

Ok, so my son just took a JS to ELP on DAL, operated by an ASA CRJ. This flight was 3+30 block, and served a meal.

How in the world did we outsource this type of flight to an RJ.......just askin'

Regards and condolences

CRJ 900 is how. CH11. They do ATL-GDL in a CR7 and For a time they were doing ATL-BIL in a CRJ.

The First Class jets do serve meals. I agree though, we need to find a way to get that flying back.

Also, what happens if I call in well on the 2 or 3rd day of the trip? Been with the company 3 years and never used sick leave. Not sure how it works.

Once the trip is on your line you are pay protected. It will be treated for sick leave just like any other trip if its a WS. If you get a GS and then sick out you do not get double pay. It is then treated like a WS and you get single pay.

Hmmm, funny. With NWAs superior (obviously) system, you got "NW Airlines" on your caller ID no matter if a live scheduler called you, or "the machine".

But it mattered much less, since there was no junior manning anyway.

Guess it's just a matter of standing up for what you want fixed. Go figure....

It is real SImple Nu, Get Anonymous Call Block. Problem solved. It is part of my home package and did not know it until they told me that their automated system can only call my cell and not my house since I had the feature on.

Argggggggg.............yes but

Why do "we" have to do work arounds for a poorly designed or outdated system. Someday "we" will quit making excuses for "them".

And no, it wasn't perfect at brand X either. So please, no one throw that one back. Just saying we need to expect better or we'll get what we expect.
