Yes, & I believe several of the 767-300's were scheduled to be chopped up so it's great news that they're coming out. Plus, as mentioned before, during the oil spike of 08 block hours on the 757 were pulled waaaay down so uping the utilization will create more 7ER openings. :)

I like that idea but you would have to phase it in. No way you would get the 777/747 captains to agree to a pay cut.

Who said anything about a pay cut?

For those of you that can tolerate ATT (now rated worst by Consumer Reports) FREE iPhone3GS on Friday Dec 10 ONLY

Best Buy Giving Away iPhone 3GSes To New Customers December 10th Only

Are you proud to call yourself a skinflint throwback to the antiquated ideals of Neo-Chaucerian 2009? Best Buy’s got a deal for you: a totally free iPhone 3GS.

We kid, of course. There are many reasons why you might want the last-gen iPhone at such a bargain price, if only for the mere bragging rights of it all: usually, only pickpockets, Steve Jobs and thieves can claim to have gotten an iPhone for nothing.

There are some provisos, of course.

For one, it’s a one unit per customer deal for one day only: Friday, December 10th. That said, the deal is open to new lines, additional lines and qualified upgrade customers. It’s an instant rebate deal, so you won’t have to lick an envelope or mail off a voucher. Better, Best Buy reportedly has units enough that even the most cynical warriors of their Geek Squad do not foresee a bloodbath.

Not a bad deal at all, if you don’t mind holding back a gen.

Yep, those ER's have been making their way over to HKG over the last few weeks for their D Checks.

Delta Pay

Gentlemen/Ladies

I am a military pilot and I have a question on how the pay scales work with regards to upgrades. If a pilot upgrades to CA will they go to year one CA pay or will they receive CA pay based on the DOH years?

The pay is based on years of total service and is capped at the 12 year point. the 1 yr capt 777 rate is for the new hire who bids and recieves a 777 capt seat. It is a frequently unused payrate.

I'm pretty sure that no captain is getting less than 12 year pay. So, the answer to your question is no, you don't start over at year 1 when you upgrade to captain.

If you went to a single CA rate and a single FO rate adjusted for years of service, do you think everyone will be paid the 777 rate, or will it be a blended number that is somewhere south of the 777 rate?

Alternatively you can further graduate the rate so the tables don't end at 12 years. Top scale could be the current highest rate and put the time out to 20 years.

How would you implement it?

It used to be just Made in China. Now it's Maintained in China. :). Bought the old man a John Wayne Xmas ornament yesterday. Turned it over and found the Made in China sticker. (Guess I should have looked at the box a little more closely as it said Jon Waine. Into the trash heap it went.)
