Here's the trick : use the reduction in training costs (big) and bump top tier pay for Carl, without a paycut for other groups....you could probably come close to cost-neutral for the company and give everyone an acceptable payrate increase, and better qol.

This is the nut of my idea. Use the money saved to give Carl a raise, then just roll everyone in behind him on the same scale.

That's using current contract numbers, of course. After that, go for a real raise for the whole group.

While we need more transparency, to dump 24 hr short call, 75 hr guarantee and standard rigs for rsv, its really quite laid back and a decent system comparitively.

Must have been Dixon. The rest of us can't afford that stuff. except newK. The company pays him extra to "retain talent."

You met a DAL pilot who was buying matching 911 turbos? What was he going to put those turbos on?????

Flamer 12-10-2010 05:16 PM

That was actually a SWA pilot pretending to be a delta pilot, so as to appear poor and work a better deal from the manager.

You know the sad part, his airport junker is my good car. :(

NewK drives a stolen police car to work.

Just wait until you come over here. You get issued a gold plated toilet to take home, your farts smell spectacular, and you get a midget issued to you solely to wipe your behind after you use said gold plated toilet.

Sorry, thought you were denigrating National Review, the brainchild of the Great William F. Buckley. BTW, Fox is the only news without a political agenda.:D
