They're canx due to wx cuz they have no recovery obligations to the pax with hotels and meals..now if they canx for the real reason...no crews ...they'd have to accomodate the pax.

There is something to that. For a short period, Delta was canceling flights with low load factors simply due to fuel costs. Any flight with low load factors is subject to cancellation for any reason.
