I am trying to get the LMS content to work on my laptop. I am using Internet Explorer 8 with Windows Vista.

When I click on the content in LMS I get a pop-up that says I need Authorware 7. Well, Authorware 7 is not compatible with Windows Vista according to the Adobe site.

Tried downloading Flash Players, tried running the LMS on Firefox, etc...

Called IT yesterday and their response was: "You're just going to have to play around with it". (Second call to them in 2 weeks, with no help. My QCQ Completion Code wouldn't work and I was told to redo my QCQ on another computer. . . . Seriously?!)

Download Internet explorer version 6 and authorware
FWIW I ran it on the same setup with no problems. Although I did have problems with the completion code. I tried entering it on my computer and the company computers. No luck. Then today I entered it in iCrew and got a message stating that it was alread entered. Who knows anymore with this setup.

Say DAL pays ASA cost +10%.

ASA already increases "cost" for de-icing, ramp, etc. They are going to keep their 10% margins (minus performance penalties of course).

DAL is just "taking back" the money it had in the first place.
(and in turn the IRS is getting a crack at that money twice, leaving less for us).
Thats not how for the most part it has worked. Delta takes on the underwing for DCI. They don't generally hire additional people to handle that. Their head count remains static at the station. DCI gets to unload a bunch of employees and reduce their costs. They pay Delta. Overall the entire operation is much more efficient. DCI does not charge more on the cost plus because Delta is billing them for the services. They are already paying Delta less for those services then it cost them originally.

As far as why not pilots the answer is simply. There is no reduction in headcount. In fact under mainline work rules your pilot headcount goes up quite a bit.

IMHO, as for the DC-9, (fmr Super Premium Wide Body F/O) I have only been on it a year, but it's cold in the winter, hot in the summer and wet when it rains or when they de-ice. Also, the trips suck, here's hoping for a displacement. I spent most of my career going to Asia and Europe, LIT & BHM doesn't do it for me. Some guys like it, but most are looking to get off it. YMMV."
I concur with what he said. It's fun to hand fly, but other than that, I'mm looking forward to my 2 year freeze thawing and moving on to something that flies longer legs. The trips have gone downhill, lots of 30+ hour layovers in garden locations like LIT, MSN, FNT, and to make up for the sit time, you fly 5 legs/day the other days. This may be partly fixed by the ATL base opening, but who knows? Short answer, plane is fun, but the trips suck. I cant wait to get back to int'l flying, or at least seeing something west of MCI.

The rest of the pass "benefits" suck too. I just looked up the "fly confirmed for less" in deltanet, the best rate? $1750 from MSP-PUJ. Delta.com had a ticket for $603, and orbitz had a delta flight for $523. It is good that you found your buddy a seat though, rare...

Yeah I guess. I overheard that they announced final configs for the domestic 57's going to F28 and actual dates for the overhauls.

I agree. "Buddy Passes" quit being a good deal a long time ago. I don't even offer them anymore, too costly and too much hassle for my buddies.

Try the download (about 360MB) worked well for me if you have the bandwidth.

Are the reconfigured 757 getting Y+ seating (quasi 3-class) also?

Cheers
