They planned for that? That's funny - I asked for one yesterday after CQ day 1 - after 35 mins on hold with crew hotel people, they said "what?...no rotation? No, you won't be reinbursed. You're on your own". Duty pilot wondered why I cared - if you make it, you make it. If you can't, stay home.

I cancelled the room I got on my own and came home. Today, a 2 hour ride from E. Cobb to training center this morning to do day 2. Two hours back home this afternoon. White knuckles and 25 MPH the whole way. I wanted to get it done, but zero guidance/advice/info from anyone at Delta. No response from training planner. No one even knew if training was still going on.

We're a big airline. It would be nice to have a bit more support and have a team to answer the phone outside business hours.

I hear ya. All I know is what other pilots have been telling me. Could be pure BS but I do know one guy in training whose instructor got a room to make sure they could do their training today, and no the instructor was not paying for it.

I am still waiting for my second reroute...... Its been over six hrs since the cancellation. I called they told me to stay in the hotel and I will comply until I get kicked out. I figure that will coincide with the freeways getting shut down.

Its a mess but I know everyone I have been talking to has been awesome.

Sadly that is true. I am lucky I am one of the lucky few not camping out in the crew lounge.

Apparently there are only 2 vans running between the airport and downtown hotel right now. Wonder if we will get to the airport tomorrow.............

At least they are running. Last night i-85 was shut down just north of the airport.

I am waiting to see what they do with me, and then if I should even chance a drive down i-85 or hang out in the hotel one more night.

Contract guys, I have a quick question.....

I was told that if you are rescheduled and you fly over 30 hours more credit than your original trip's value there is premium compensation similar to a greenslip. Does anybody know anything about this?

Thanks

All I know is on an IROP reroute they can schedule you to arrive in domicile up to 30 hrs late before premium pay kicks in. (International)

Maybe they were talking about 30 hours late...... How does the premium pay work if you are in excess of 30 hours late getting back to domicile?
