Ferd, It means that you did not bid a specific trip, and to compete a line of time for a junior guy they removed your awarded trip and assigned another trip that fit your parameters so that they could fill the junior bidder up with a full LOT.
(At least that is why the PBS gurus told me it meant. I could be wrong I'll drop a note to one of the PBS guys. Not a big deal, I like the trip I got........but I had evil plans for March:eek::D |

I filled my first few FCR's out today.
I've never filled one out before... this crap has gotten so bad lately I've already done 2, and I HATE paperwork. |

Understood, but they wanted feedback so I gave them feedback. I also know that good or bad they want feedback on hotels so, I will be filling those out a lot more. |

Slow: Not really a trick, but given past events, that many here haven't forgotten, some skepticism may be in order. If the management of your company doesn't tell you that they're going to order new airplanes, don't believe them. They're just mismanaging the place, or trying to manage your contract expectations, as the order will be placed afterwards.... Got it.;) Until the said replacement aircraft are on the ramp, no *****in or bragging allowed. I posted before...we've got 34 DC-9's that are really old. In 2016 we'll have over 60 757's that are 25-30 years old. There'll be a bunch of MD-88's that can't fly NextGen and the early A320's that are over 25 years old. There'll be a bunch of 767's and ER's that are over 25 years old. The FAA just put out an AD on older 757's for fuselage stress. My bet is there'll be more rather than less of those technical issues as the airplanes get older. In spite of what Scambo says, maybe we ought to encourage management to do a prudent fleet renewal. Maybe that's what they're telling you they're doing. Wait, it's all about expectation management and the contract. Not really ALL about it , but surely part of it, IMMHO. Sorry, I forgot!:o |
