But when I say replacement I'm not talking about the airframe but rather that airlines opted for a financially motivated substitute. My argument is instead of buying a kid a new Lexus they get the Camry, not as great but it does the job.

In no way does the 737 compare to the 757 but the tweaked and stretched 1968 737 is still available for purchase with a large and healthy company sustaining backorder while the venerable 1983 757 is no longer in production because the orders dried up.

I was one that hated the old MCO overnight, but I never wrote a formal complaint. However, the 30 hr PHF I love(d) because its 15 min from my paents house in Yorktown. Yes... I'm selfish. :D
