Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
A friendly reminder of rule #3 of international flying brought to you by 80ktsClamp:
Never trust a fart.
While in Quito a few days ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and accidentally got half way through a glass of water before I realized what I was doing. Bad move, 80... bad move.
Thus, I have been forced to respect rule #3 since arriving back home.

1. On probation for 400 hours or 1 year service. Captains will still receive new hire assessment forms to fill out for you. No ALPA dues are paid until you are off probation but the Co. will still get you for payroll deducted uniforms from 10 years ago (They didn't forget)
2. You are on 6th year pay. You get longevity for the years you were furloughed but not for the years you bypassed.
* hold on....if you accepted recall and then went right to ML. You are on 9 or 10 year pay...
3. You are placed where there is an open position according to your recall preferences.
4. I think this AE will pass you by but the next one will not.
5. Things have changed drastically since you left but like was said to me "Those years sucked anyway." The 73 and the Bus are a tossup. 5 day trips for commuters and a comfortable cockpit on the 320. Small veal fattening pen and nice 2-3day trips with long legs on the 73N. If you are commuting, I would say go with whatever gives you the better seniority but it's even. The 73 doesn't do PHX overnights.
There will be 24 hour short calls on the Er in SLC by the way when they get em going

Well...
1. Am I still on probation when I come back, or was that waived?
2. Am I on 1st year pay when I come back, or will it be from the pay charts?
3. If I tell the company I'm avail to come back 1 Mar, will I have my choice of aircraft/base that I can hold from the seniority list, or do I get some NYC thing?
4. Is there any reason to rush-call them before the AE bid closes 28 Jan, anything I gain by trying to be "in system" before bid closes?
5. My plan was to see what I can hold after AE and bid accordingly, assuming I have my choice... What's better, SLC 73N B @63% , or SLC 320 B @ 61%? (Phx commute) Or 7ER reserve at bottom in LAX or SLC?
Take a break from the contract arguing and help an old noob out!

Good thing that I don't have to go to work today. My car's battery is frozen!
