Does anyone know what the lowest vis takeoff ASA ops spec allows is?

I want to say it was 600 RVR when I was there but I'm not positive

Master Ops Specs are on the DAL net. Check your Chart in the Airway Manual. I know it is 500 RVR for some fleets.

NOOP question..

they dropped a 4 day carry out rotation from my schedule. 7hrs for Feb, 12hrs for Mar. The trip no longer operates. It was awarded as a white slip about 2 weeks ago and showed as part of my carry in schedule for March at bidding time. Am I pay protected for both months and what are my obligations ? thx

That should be an "asterisk rotation" which means it transitions the month. Your trip guarantee only applies to the portion in the first month.

Section 4.F
6. Asterisk Rotations – The rotation guarantee of an asterisk rotation will be based on the
portion of the rotation (as originally published in the bid package) that is contained within
the bid period.

No, I'm looking for EV specs. Trying to DH MOB-ATL. Heavy fog.

I know both of the pilots and neither one is a liar or any other of the negatives you attribute to them. Maybe some people are lucky and don't get sick much and unlucky that when they do get sick it is on there off days. Your statement is total ignorance.

There really is not 24 hours worth of news that comes out in the day, and they all try to BE FIRST to report a story. In doing so, you get flash, cheese, innaccuracies, and worse ADD than a pilot in a room full of girls showing underboob.

Since I dont get fox biz, I pretty much just put cnbc on muting during the day and peruse various news stories.

Oh, and stephanie abrams can bring me my weather anytime. :)

You know Fox has a business show.

I agree though, 24 hr news is only good for an hour. Fwiw, even as a diehard conservative, I cannot stand OReilly or Sean. Give me Bret and Gretta if I've got to watch the news. But I dont watch tv hardly at all. Internet is good enough and faster and better. But I'm not opposed to 80s osmosis method of watching cnbc on mute in hopes it'll sink in. I used to sleep on my textbooks hoping it'd seep in through osmosis and it might have worked.

acl65pilot 02-18-2011 05:21 AM

Johnso, it is 600 for them.

Great. ALPA, why don't we have a "me too" policy? I want time and 1/2 for all holidays! :D
