About the IT.
It was explained to me the other day that if you look at a department that deals with HVCs (and I won't name names) but they right now have a need to do something that would make life a lot easier for our customers to accomplish their goals on our website. A simple pull down menu on the website is basically what they need. In 1 year they'll get that simple fix implemented by IT. That's the backlog. Told my wife that and she said that's how it was at AT&T/Bellsouth, if a problem was found for the customer and you wanted the website updated and corrected it could take months to over a year. Maybe sometimes that is why our best thought out solutions fall on deaf ears because people have already fought that battle and lost. It was also explained if IT could hire people that would help a lot. But I guess there is a freeze? As to the IT, it is my understanding what you're looking at is not Delta's stuff but NWA. Regarding hiring by IT - my son applied for a network security engineer position several weeks ago. He was called for an interview within a week. They stated that there were over 160 applicants for the position. He was offered the job shortly after the interview but the salary offer was $10k less than his currently job with GD. Reminds me of what happens when pilot salaries plummet. He hasn't accepted the position yet and they are still evaluating the salary offer. There are so many improvements needed in IT!! |

Wow, I can identify with these comments. So much that needs to be changed with IT. Regarding check in functions of kiosks, it would be nice if you could dependably check in as a NR on the kiosk. I have repeated problems with the kiosk bouncing back to the start once I get to the pass classification choice. Check in as a crew member has gotten better but there is a long way to go.

FtB:
I swear, you have genuine talent that you are wasting on this forum. Of course, Delta probably does not have use for your "humor" either :D |
I love the FCR report, and I think you should fill out a FCR with that as a suggestion.
I always though it was this: http://papershredders.files.wordpres...r-shredder.jpg What would be the icon for Travel Net? |

The ideal would be a small shredder in a back office that nobody sees to which an incoming FCR is immediately shredded never having been seen. ---- Travelnet? Option 1: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/187/4...38a34b826b.jpg Or Option 2: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/im...eping-main.jpg |
I mean there should be a sign in when you go to travel net:
http://www.daninjapan.com/1.02/05_sleep.jpg Do you comprehend this picture? () Yes, I realize what I'm hoping for won't happen, () No, I will return from where I came. ---- They should also have this: The current gate floor space taken up by sleeping non-revs: 1) SLC: 85% 2) DFW 84% 3) DEN 75% 4) SFO 50% 5) LAX 45% 6) LGA: 40% |
5 1/2 inches? That clearly measures a stunning 10.

That would be sticking it to Bedford and company. |
