Your job is to produce an entertaining video detailing the entire scope bubble for posting on the DALPA website, emailing to DALPA members and posting to youtube. The requirement is to keep the video factual without being boring. There will be no flight pay loss.

As long as I get FPL on top of that I'm game!

Maybe we can make it this good?

They determined themselves that high gas prices weren't allowing their own E170s flying for Frontier to be profitable, so they threw them on the Delta side, to also not be profitable (for Delta). It's profitable for Republic, though, but not for their own brand. Break even with Delta, or lose money on their own. Very smart of Bedford. What does Lee Moak think about this?

That is so funny because I just did a turn this week to Montego Bay. I opened the door in terminal E to go to the jet and hello customs and police dogs... then when we came back it was back to hello customs and police dogs again.

I think Montego Bay can set the record for the most ground workers ever on a single turn. 15 outside the airplane and I guarantee you at least 15 or more inside the aircraft. I had people in position at the tail and both wings, both baggage conveyor had 3 guys working and at least 1 or more people monitoring. I couldn't even get in and out of the airplane.

As to drug smuggling with airliners, NASA had just bought an Eastern 757 back in the early to mid 90s when I was learning to fly at Langley AFB in Virginia. Rumor is when they tore the airplane apart for inspection they found a lot of cocaine packed in the tail. I guess Eastern had a smuggling ring going for a while through their maintenance.

I never saw any NASA engineers running around with new sports cars or anything but now that I think about it, maybe sports cars are not what I should've been looking for?

That is all.

Call your reps. I did, and I am very disappointed.

Why??? My base rep supports it and I'm glad.!

A recent visit to the DTW ALPA Council 20 office produced very interesting results. While the MEC failed to meet an eight week resolution mandate to produce all Flight Pay Loss reports for 2010 and 2011, it did make 2010 meeting expenses available for Delta Pilots to view. The MEC did not publish this report to its website, but harrassed its members in good standing by prohibiting photocopying or photographing the document. It forced members to hand transcribe the document if the member wished to export the information. When challenged by a DPA member for specific policy citation, ALPA leadership stated that no policy prohibitied the dissemination of the information, but that it was the preference of current ALPA leadership to restrict access and, therefore, limit transparency.

Read the DALPA Meeting Expense Report generated from two hours of hand transcribing to learn about the wasteful spending habits of the DALPA MEC. If $329.00 per night hotel rooms disturb you or 12 day meetings in beach destinations concern you, you are not alone. Over $1.6 MILLION in Delta Pilot dues was spent just in 2010 on meetings and associated comforts

The link still works fine for me. I don't think it's been pulled down. But I've posted the documents above anyway... so you don't need the link.
