You have just alleged that all pilots are too dumb to elect their own leaders to best represent their interests. Your fellow cockpit mates really appreciate your arrogance and disdain for their ability to think for themselves....

Anyone who voluntarily takes a pay concession while under contract is an idiot. Our pilot group as a whole has made terrible decisions over the past 8 years. These bad decisions were sold to us by ALPA and our officers. We are smart individually, but dumb as hell as a whole. We blindly rely on ALPA to lead us the right way, but ALPA leads us the way that it thinks will best benefit ALPA. Are you even a Delta pilot? I know you work for Delta, but I cannot tell who's side you're on. I think its been proven that we have elected the wrong leaders.

If a bunch of lawyers sat around on greedylawyer.com and critiqued how it was obvious to them that the pilot on their last leg was a screw up, and should have gone around because he flew through windshear (for example), but the captain, and co pilot, and LCA jumpseater all said it wasn't windshear, what would you say? And who would you believe? The lawyers sitting in the back with zero flying experience, or the three professional pilots on the flight deck?

These lawyers, with NO FLYING EXPERIENCE, were convinced the 3 pilots were wrong. Who you gonna believe?

Just curious.

That's easy Pineapple. I would believe what the FACTS say. I would look at the flight data recorder and the local airport's windshear monitoring data. That's what I would believe. Not ANYONE'S opinion. Not even the opinion of the pilots in the cockpit.

Now let's move to the question of ALPA's "expert" lawyers: Do those lawyers state FACTS, or do they state OPINIONS?

Second question: Do neutral arbitrators and judges state opinions, or do they issue RULINGS?

Last question: Why does ALPA not want to seek the ruling of a judge, and instead, hang their hats on OPINIONS?

Carl

An innocent man accused of murder hired a high priced lawyer to defend him. The lawyer did not provide him an adequate defense...which one went to jail?

It's my understanding they are stating facts.

Rulings.

Because if the facts are clear, sending it to a judge is a waste of MY dues.

Guess I'm too dense to understand your analogy. Try again.

It doesn't matter who Carl believes, it only matters who the judge or jury would believe. :D

I think its pretty obvious they are trying to hit that limit before contract time. Sometimes it's nice to look at the syringe and see how many cc's are left while you are being injected. From what I remember there is still a fair amount left. Thanks.

I think about 8 more 70 seaters are allowed. Guaranteed they are gonna max it out prior to negotiations.

Wrong. Lawyers give you opinions.

Oh, and those "new" 170s that we just signed for today aren't new at all. They are simply being shifted from another certificate. I'm eagerly awaiting the ALPA lawyer's opinion on this.

Very good 80!

For matters like this:

The only lawyers that state facts are called judges.

The only lawyers that state final, undeniable facts are called Justices.
