Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Mildly interesting article about airline merger issues using Delta north-south integration as examples. It even finishes up with the contentious "Gray Bag" debate:

Is anybody else offended by the ads announcing regional first class seats as a first? These ads show the 175's replacing the DC-9's like it's a good thing. I take it as a slap in the face to our pilot group.
If they want to "win" New York, that would be the move to make. Of course, Delta would probably benefit more from that move than American over the short term.
Southwest only needs to let the fur fly and wait for the pot of gold to fall out of the sky thanks to LaHood and like minded politicians.

You mean the plethora of billboards featuring the E175s that are plastered around downtown Atlanta? Yes, I've seen them but I assumed they were saying "we want out of the rj business." I guess I should've read them sense it seems as if the company wants airplanes , E175s, biut doesn't think their employees are good enough to fly them.

This report shows a different story: FAA Statistics Report of Passengers Denied Confirmed Space
These numbers are from the first quarter of the year, and are not vastly different from last year's.
Total number of passengers denied boarding from the 1st qtr:
Delta 656
American Airlines 2,191
Continental 1,298
Southwest 2,167
United 1,193
Here we are leading the industry and IMHO it wouldn't hurt to let the flying public know you stand a much better chance of getting bumped if you aren't flying Delta.

Sorry. The link should be fixed. Here are last year's stats as well as the last quarter in the previous link. Not sure about the DCI data.

The real winners would be the jb pilots, an amr jumpseating with us a said they only had 100 pilots under the age of 40 there and I wish I could remember the average age of As and Bs but it was enough to say hello mass movement. If you were a mid 20 year old hire at JB and they merged with AMR you'd have a great career IMHO, hence, Charlie Sheen winner.
Hey guys, keep your head on a swivel this weekend. I'm flying a four-day and its been awhile.

The AE will more than likely come out before the slot swap announcement or at least before the company has time to adjust. The 2012 flight plan is supposed to be finalized this week and then I would guess a short time after that we will see an AE. Still a chance to see ATL 320 & 330 base on this next AE.

Hopefully we have a LGA plan ready to go.

I wonder if in some alternate universe, ALPA is fighting the good fight.
