Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Dear lord I hope not... When ARK was added to the SEC, the rivalry factor was diminished because you used to be able to drive from one school to another. It took a... real... long... day to drive from Knoxville to Fayetteville a few years ago... not many Big Orange fans did so. I don't want the conference to turn into the PAC 10 where you need an airliner to go to an away game. Tailgating starts to suck then.
Heard rumors Mizzou would've been added and Auburn would've gone to the SEC East, which would've sucked if you had to play Bama twice a year. Takes the fun out of the once a year event. I think some NFL rivalries would be a heck of a lot better if they were once a year events. but you're right, college station is FAR FAR from Gainesville and Columbia SC. Still not as stupid as what the ACC did having schools from BOS to MIA.
Of course the funny part is FSU. They didn't want to compete so they chose the ACC and that served them really well for a decade plus. But yet TLH is closer than GNV.
I don't know who was going to make 14, Clemson? FSU? GaTech? Louisville?
oh well.
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. They had a 90's retro thing going on the radio and it's funny to think of Mark Wahlberg the singer.
I've got to give it to the guy. He was an original founding member of New Kids on the Block but quit before they "came out." He then did his music thing but got into movies and he made that movie Fear.
Fear is a gift to every day who has a under 14 year old teenage daughter and wants to scare her straight about boys dad doesn't like. In the movie, daughter, mom and everyone just loves the new boyfriend except dad - so when the dogs chopped off head comes through the doggie door everyone finally comes to grip with the fact dad was right. And dad saves the day. Great movie dads!
So Marky Mark gets bonus Man points for quitting New Kids on the Block and making a great horror flick for Dads to show impressionable teens.
Then he made Boogie Nights.
Man points don't count if you starred in Boogie Nights.
Pointless rant. Better than another hit on the DPA/ALPA thread.
but i'll be there sometime soon.

Any one used the Rosetta Stone learning program before? Was thinking of investing in the Spanish program. Knowing Spanish could be very helpful.

Remember they went away from those two winters ago. No more 55 hrs and no flying. They offer the no pay with bennies one. Also with the RLL (Reduced Lower Limit) they probably will not need em.
Do not forget the training footprint that the last and next AE's are going to create.

Spent some time in Mexico. I really needed to learn Spanish and I have the stories to prove it.

Of course he gave me some Spanish but I wasn't going to use it. Not sure what I was saying or more importantly what I was volunteering myself to do.

I wish I had known Spanish when I flew for one of the wealthiest Mexican Americans businessmen in the country. And when i say immigrant i mean no money and no english coming to the states in the 60s and four decades later making $40m a year in his checking account running a near billion dollar business. Not bad. Sure it's not Facebook money but it's pretty impressive.

If I'd known then that I could've spent the rest of the flight in the cargo bay I would've.
Speaking of that, that was the best part about the ATR... what is the max capacity of an ATR 72 going PWM or BTV to EWR? I think the thing held 70+3 so that was at least 70 passengers +3 crew +1 JS + 5 more JS's.
This from the same group who wouldn't order fuel in EWR at $0.30 a gallon and instead would fly to ACK and top the tanks for like $4 or $5 a gallon or something along those lines. $$$$$$$ I wonder how long it took til the bill arrived for a months worth of that?
The one thing I can say for sure, I never saw the FAA do a ramp check in EWR, just IAH.
Yeah I'd enjoyed that club, I don't know why I said EMB-120 when asked. I really don't. IAH EMB-120? Ignorant.
). You don't have to sit in front of the computer which I like because I can do it while at the gym or walking around on a layover. Do svedanya

I have been using Pimsleur Russian that I got from the library. Works better for me than Rosetta Stone. I just listen to a lesson on my MP3 player (a thing that us old guys use that is similar to an iPod, but at 1/10th the cost

Thanks t. I'll check them out too. Looks like they have a Spanish program with apps for the iPhone. Good thing. I was worried I may have to buy one of those MP3 thingys.
