Still looking for volunteers to handle the 764, 747, DC9, 320 and 330 fleets. I've taken on the 737 fleet and it really isn't hard or time consuming to keep it updated. You don't have to be a techie either.

The latest ALPA letter about the Alaska codeshare leaves out a huge point IMHO, while we may not compete directly on routes we're also not growing our business and flying organically because Alaska is allowed to do all that growth. With that thought process why shouldn't we just let every other company do our flying for us while we stay stagnant and or shrink the pilot list. Why don't they show how our pilot lists have shrunk as a whole hike others are getting bet gains in positions.

The investors would love that.

Exactly. We could ask VA to fly SFO->JFK for us, Allegiant to fly LAS->JFK for us and so forth. Interpolating them with the size of AS, it probably wouldn't even register a blip on our annual traffic volume, but you be the judge if it would affect our pilot group size.

Naaaaaah. When I was in, I remember that tax wise I was treated like I HAD a pension, yet because I got out with less than 20, I received no such pension. I guess I could have gone back and amended my last 7 years of tax returns and perhaps received some pittance of a refund, but the hassle would have been worth far less than the monies I would have received. Anyway, I cannot speak for others, but I didn't join the military for a pension in the first place. If this comes to fruition, it too, shall pass.

That's the crux of it.
Delta pilot count = seniority = pay.
No growth = you figure it out.

As long as others were furloughing the MEC CC response to AS scope was "you should be happy to have a job, others are furloughing"

With others recalling/hiring, the question is what happens now at Delta?
What will be the new "response" to AS scope?

Looking downrange, further airline industry consolidation is inevitable.
Where does that leave Delta pilots at the SLI table?

The RJs were bad enough and lucky for us self correcting with current fuel prices. The AS feed is just like the RJs but with bigger jets and fewer restrictions.

Bottom line:

Delta pilots should fly the feed for Delta international flying.

Cheers
George
