How come no schedules out yet.....It's not like there is a lot of flying to fill in Sept? Should have been out Sunday.

Has anyone ever observed some of the quality of people that TSA employs and wondered "What can this person possibly contribute to an actual security incident?" If something hostile were to go down I guess the fattest of them could just fall on the hostile person

Do our customers require 3 pilots on some of the charters? I keeps seeing two FO rotations in DTW7ER open time for some domestic charters with less than 8 hours flying and since I've never done one, I didn't know what the deal was.

Ive seen those as well, and it's usually on the ones that operate through the night. I don't know if it's contractually required, but it sure seems like a good idea to me.

Sounds like a really good idea. Think how much money the company would potentially lose out on should a pilot become fatigued and had to scrub/delay a charter. Inexpensive insurance on their part.

Do charters at big D usually go to reserves? I did a couple at my last regional and they almost always went to reserves and most were backside of the clock, pretty rough when you don't have time to get on the right schedule.

Yes, it is required, and is part of the MAC Charter LOA 20. It has to do with time of day and number of landings.
Go here to see all of the LOA's:
