Off topic but I just downloaded Journey($1.99) browser for my IPAD. Icrew works nice except sometimes I press a letter and the IPAD goes into ENTER mode:mad:

My question is: Is there a way that I can download the manuals on IPAD using journey?

No need for Journey...

Get Goodreader
Sign up for Sugarsync

Go to http://www.ipubs.me/iPubs/Home.html
(PW is on the ALPA forum)

Hit sync and smile...
(ok, the first time syncing you'll wait a long time, but after that...)

Cheers
George

What does MMC mean on my line following days of training? Is this OE?

MMC = Mid Month Conversion.

It means you have been converted to your new category on that date.
Its not your OE. That will probably be scheduled shortly though. They have to convert you before they fly you in your new category.

Any of you fellow reserve holders get a lower than normal paycheck yesterday?? Mine was at least $1000 less than last month. Is this due to the evening out of our pay or did I get screwed??

RE: the situation at American Airlines and its affect on the Delta contract

Haven't seen much comment on this --

ALPA has pulled out of our deal to assist the AA pilots.

I'm not sure Moak has done the wise thing here.
APA is obviously in some difficulty the last few years and it would seem we should try to help them even if it means we catch some of the nastiness that gets generated by their infighting.

Its in our interest for them to get their act together and pattern bargain to the up side.
Now we've bailed out and left them to start over.

Mine was correct. Did you add up your end of month check from 2 weeks ago with this one and see if it was normal? I had the same issue last month, but after some investigating and higher math I found it to be correct.

That's the crux of it.
Delta pilot count = seniority = pay.
No growth = you figure it out.

As long as others were furloughing the MEC CC response to AS scope was "you should be happy to have a job, others are furloughing"

With others recalling/hiring, the question is what happens now at Delta?
What will be the new "response" to AS scope?

Looking downrange, further airline industry consolidation is inevitable.
Where does that leave Delta pilots at the SLI table?

The RJs were bad enough and lucky for us self correcting with current fuel prices. The AS feed is just like the RJs but with bigger jets and fewer restrictions.

Bottom line:

Delta pilots should fly the feed for Delta international flying.

I just see this as another example that the mec is looking out for the company (mgmt)'s needs over the pilots they represent. We need them to work on our behalf to do OUR own flying and stop this idea of just codesharing (aka outsourcing) flying that we could be doing with Delta pilots.

I can tell you that the pilot that wrote this is a guy that will call balls and strikes fairly. He is super smart, and took a ton of time writing that piece. Plus, he is far from senior, and is one of the smartest guys I know. He gave an honest answer after pouring over all of the data.
