I admit, though, that I'm only on the Junior Varsity Delta Connection team, so what do I know? Even the 320's maximum certified config is I think 180, and 150 for the 319. All coach of course, but I think that is with something like 28 inches of pitch. European LCC style 40 and 8's to be sure, but even our worst 73/75 coach configs are better than that. You can do a lot with better seats. Some new gen stuff actually looks pretty impressive. Who knows if we will get those though. IFE also helps. A lot, especially if its good IFE. And good customer service is crucial. Attitude, on time yet with the big picture in mind, bags get there when you do, food options (even if they must be purchased they still need to be good), etc. In all of those areas above, we have a LOT of work to do. If we don't achieve all of that by the time this thing is flying our pax with our pilots at the controls, and even if we do, we may need to take out a row to give it some breathing room. Or at least create an enhanced coach section and let Clark Howard penny fare trolls get what they pay for. But we still have to come up with a way to win in coach, not just HVC's (more work in that area too though). |

My question remains unanswered. Was the flight on an A319 (124 seats) or A320 (148 seats)? Most of the longer range mini bus flying in our current schedule that I see is A319.

Who's planes will they be flying? That just proves without a shadow of a doubt that improving the product isn't a priority for Delta Air Lines. More RJ's = FAIL

I know there are some hard feelings between some DAL pilots and Comair, but I dont understand the outsourcing of aircraft DAL owns when they have a regional they own too.
Is it just is another day in bizzarro superman world? Does DALPA have some quid pro quo deal with mgmt whereby Comair is no longer viable by agreement...you know it is the last bastion of unity and scope recapture...right? |

The things I know of that may not be reimbursed are commuter hotels 1xmonth, and airport parking (not at a pilot base) of $176/mo roughly. what do you guys all do for travel costs for taxes? As he said, the first one is free and then costs $50 a year when you order it. As far as writing off commuter hotels, parking etc., be very careful when trying to do this. I looked into it once and, basically, you needed to have 2 jobs to be able to write commuting expenses to one off. Denny |

IMHO - Delta's award of our "permitted" flying should be condemned :( Comair, is Delta & Comair is ALPA. Delta is reducing the value of its own subsidiary with this stupid award of flying to an incompetent air carrier. |
