Quick question, then back to earthquake reports and NB speculations--
taxes: do I need to keep all my receipts for meals, commuter hotels, etc. ? Not sure how much Delta pays for employee expenses on meals and incidental expenses, and whether it's worth doing anything with all these receipts...

The things I know of that may not be reimbursed are commuter hotels 1xmonth, and airport parking (not at a pilot base) of $176/mo roughly.

what do you guys all do for travel costs for taxes?

Could always be worse... check out IAD after the hangar collapsed for snow last year:

That's like $50-$60M a pop back before the economy collapsed. PAINFUL to look at.

That's where the "frequently crushed hopes" comes from. We're replacing the grass at Williams-Brice with paper. The Gamecocks always look good on paper! :)

I use :
Flightline ...the flight crew connection

expense report. I think its free for a 1st timer, $50 for others.

Commuting expenses are not reimburseable. But I just commute to the airport I fly to work from...the hotel I use in base is so I can get adequate rest.

Looks like most everything is open including DCA and RIC.

I'm sure LGA tower will be proud of themselves... "you evacuate? you evacuated? not man enough? really?" :D

I'm sure EWR Cab is not impressed.

The big question is they said they were evacuating buildings all the way north to Canada. I wonder if they evacuated the CN Tower?

I highlighted it here with the red arrow, as you can see, it's really tall. It could sway and bounce around a bunch in a earthquake.

Anybody else ATL feel that tremor?

I turned on the news after I felt it and it looks like DC got hit by an earthquake.

I was near the pentagon driving and didn't even feel it. I didn't know about it until I got out of my car and people were standing outside my condo.

Yesterday I read someone that really knew the differences of a 757 and 737 on the inside, it's not exactly the same as I read. I went back to see if I could reread their post and I found this:

Who Took The 717's Boeing Was Offering? — Civil Aviation Forum | Airliners.net

Still not paying to join. But you know, 1 out of every 10 posts on that website can be very informative from people in the know. The other 9? I'd rather sit in the middle seat of a 739 on a transcon then read what they have to say. ;)

But our customers clearly prefer a 737 which is why we smartsourced that route to Alaska 2 times a day, to compete with a LCC 2 times a day on their inferior 320's, which customers hate and refuse to fly on.

But there is no money in cargo...
