slowplay,

Guess we already have rates for the B737-900? Will the fact that the orders are for the -900ER make a case for new rates? Since it can fly a longer mission?

Question: How much revenue does Delta make on passengers flying on e-190/airbuses operated by that separate ticket? Answer: Zero.

In my view, management's contracting for DCI service with a holding company that has a subsidiary that directly competes with us is shortsighted. I'd like to see that PWA language improved.
The point is our language says no regional carrier for us can operate aircraft of those types, they just start a new ticket to back door our scope. It's also a threat that they operate those planes because it gives our mgmt reason to believe said aircraft are "regional" aircraft.

I agree with what you said about the paw language, it should absolutely be changed.

It's concerning that we announce delaying the rest of our orders shortly after the gojet deal was announced. considering they have MRJ's on order and other regionals are positioning themselves for larger aircraft orders is disconcerning. Leaves one to wonder what the majors they fly for are telling them....

Why should it. We didn't negotiate new rates for the 88/90 when their mission changed and the seats were increased. We'll just give this away as "constructive engagement".

This is for you T

what makes you think our 737-900ERs won't do what Continental/nowUnited's 737-900ERs do?

Years ago nobody would have thought to fly 757s to Europe, now we do that all the time...

Cheers
George

Thought we have announced that the 757s were coming off of the Europe routes, something about not working as well as hoped.

Cal flies it IAH-ANC, fuel critical when it pushes and often 20 seats blocked.....

With tough winds it stops for fuel in SEA

Doubt it, they would then have to negotiate a higher hourly rate for the A330-200 that is being fitted with dual bunks and increased gross weight for missions over 12 hours.

It is the old "pump & dump" trade. Buy on the rumor, sell on the news.
