I wonder if we will still go to Valencia and Malaga thanks to that codeshare?

This type of thing is what concerns me with all the codesharing going on. Why would we operate a thinner route like JFK-Valencia or Malaga when we could just dump our pax in MAD and send them via connection. :cool:

I was walking by the gate for the ATL-SYD flight and saw a DL 767, but the board said Qantas with a Vietnam Airlines codeshare. How many pax go " What in the hell?"

A lot. I have to constantly explain the AK thing to pax in LA.

You mean like ATL to TLV this winter on the 777? Nope, passengers now have to go on us to CDG or AMS and then connect on AF/KL. That plane is always full to TLV. But, the problem is our 777s are doing more NRT and 744 replacement flying thanks to the 744s getting mods (lie flat seats etc). It still is ridiculous.

I'm an employee and go "what the hell?" I thought I was looking for a delta flt. Gotta do a double take on the gate number.

Also, I've gotta ask 'cuz y'all know how I feel about AK and DCI/Rah/Gojets. Are all of these international codeshares under the skyteam umbrella with the same language as AF/KLM or are they different. Asked another way are they helping OUR flying or hurting it?

Are these all future "skyteam airlines" or has yet another way around our section 1 been discovered?

They are not jv's only intra country code share agreements and route specific. They are not metal neutral like the AF JV.

As long as you answer while wearing your hat, our brand image will be preserved.

Recently I was asked if a four striper sporting spiky hair, wrinkly shirt, Doc Maartens, wide utility belt, no hat, no wings and no name tag was a "pilot." I responded, "I'm not sure." The one fact I am sure of, his airline is growing faster than mine and the airplane he commands has "my brand" on its fuselage.

Just curious, are frosted tips out of style? Haven't seen those on a Mesaba or SkyWest crew in a year.

Bar;

You might as well toss in there: "Hey kid get off my lawn!"

Why?

Someone has got to mow it.
