Saipan

Could someone give me a little information about what to see in Saipan. I finally got a long layover and wanted to see the island, possibly by one of the park rangers. I was also told that they are not allowed to give tours?

I know it's been discussed here before but I can't find it. Thanks for your help.

Man, we need to lock down some medical insurance provisions in the next contract--something more modern than the DPMP. Regardless of your political leanings, based on my limited research, BarryCare is going to jack up our premiums in a huge way--it's already started this year. Need to get a lid on that. I'd like to see an HSA with a quarter of the out-of-pocket maximum vs. the garbage we got in 2012. HSA is huge--our own money in our names.

Vision and dental need a huge boost, too--what a joke they are. We've got to get these things protected contractually before the balloon goes up. I'd give up a few buck each trip to see those improvements. (But not one seat or airframe on scope.)

You think? People talk about the pay rates and W-2s at SWA, but their almost zero out of pocket healthcare costs should really be enveyed. And it's in their contract. Here? More of the same: it's what the rest of the employees get.

This is YET ANOTHER reason our final proposal to management should be the SWAPA contract in its entirety. Very nearly C2K pay restoration, the industry's best scope and the industry's best medical coverage. Dare the NMB to tell us that our billion dollar a year profit company can't afford what our biggest direct competitor has.

Hey guys,

This is a deviation from our norm here but I want to take the time to tell you fellow Delta brothers and sisters how proud I am to be a part of this team and this family. I flew the red eye from LAX to MCO this morning and went to bed at the hotel. In the meantime, my mother-in-law, whose only 59, had a stroke in Northern California. While she was being medevac'ed to San Fran for surgery, the CPSC called and woke me up in my room. They pulled me off my rotation, listed me for a DH home, and sent a crew van to the hotel to pick me up. When I got to the jet, the CA and crew were waiting for me, boarded me and fed me. I'm flying home right now and have no idea how things are going at the hospital but I'm so proud of Delta right now. Thanks to all you guys and prayers for my wife's mom please!

Hope she's OK. Glad the company's taking care of you!

I always do the Gold HRA. Delta offers an HSA. It's in the Healthcare Benefits Handbook. Improvements in health/dental insurance is at the top of my list, too.

Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. We'll keep her in our prayers in hope of a speedy recovery. Glad to know that Delta's got our back in situations like this. Looks like everyone went above and beyond.

I've had the HSA for a while now, but the out of pocket max increased significantly this year--along with the premiums. No relief in sight, except contractually...
