YES. Sort of. That'd been the first though, I chose the name after I forgot to bid for vacation when I was a newhire. It didn't matter, to date I still get the same May and September vacation whether I forget to bid or put in a dream bid.

But about 9pm this morning I was on the road and was like... what's today? %#@%@.

Luckily I had already bid but I want to have a saved "receipt" when it comes back ugly.

So, 1 hour left, it's time for the girl we just all love...

Go to your Default Bid and load something in your "Avoid",

ie. "Avoid if DH legs > 0" or

"Avoid if credit < 15"

so in the future, if you forget, at least you won't have to fly the 3 day 10 hr. all nighter both ways, LAX turns.

I want my PBS bid to be acknowledged: "No football games on fields that double as baseball fields and the baseball diamond is not covered up."

Yes, you did. Seven pumps with a decent pellet can take care of a pesky Armadillo as well.

Reminds me of one of my many jobs in college. I worked on a fancy golf course/yacht club as a grounds keeper (aka Carl :) Anyway we had this bad Armadillo problem where they dug up parts of the course. My boss asked if I would like over time to do a little hunting...of course the redneck in me jumped at the chance!!
So picture a college kid riding around in a golf cart with a .22 rifle and cooler of beer spot lighting and killing these buggers between multi-million dollar homes, never had one complaint!
An Armadillo has a good 4' vertical jump when shot and only wounded...good times

Hey FTB.......Newton looked good yesterday. Cards dodged a bullet:D

Oh, and Ferd's firm grasp of the obvious for today. Tony Romo will never win a big one:mad:

Back in the day...I was flying cancelled checks out of JFK at night in a Turbo Commander 690. As we are loading up the plane, we hear what sounds like gunshots out in the runway area, towards the ocean, not the city, where you might Expect to hear gunshots at 10pm!

As we taxid out, ground tells us to give way to the Port Authority car coming off the runway. As he drives by, I see a guy hanging out the passenger side window with a shotgun in his hand, waving at us! I asked ground if there was an escaped convict on the loose or something, and he said, "No, they are shooting the jackrabbits that are out there."

Sure enough, a few nights later, we are in the flare and a huge jackrabbit runs across the runway, right in front of our touchdown point, being chased by a much bigger dog! Luckily we had enough speed to balloon up and over them before touching down!

I called tower and said, "Send out that guy with the shotgun!"

I'm bidding the LAX 7ERA, (after 24yrs in the ATL! good luck to me!) Looking to fly the long asia trips, at least during my east coast commute phase, while I sort out the move thing.

Would appreciate feedback/gouge on the recovery from one of these bad boys. Did the 727 2 week trips out of FRA when I was 37-39...thinking the recovery from a 2 week trip at 54 is going to be a bit tougher! Thx.

I guess poking Jessica Simpson - anytime, anywhere - for a year and a half doesn't count as a win? :D

The hotel in NRT is good and quiet so you'll get good sleep there inbetween the runs back and forth to...everywhere.

Oh, and you'll be wanting an 'official' T shirt to wear in the bar too:

Made In China T-Shirt - Life Is Crap

Takes me about 24 hours at home to half-recover from a 6 day ATL-NRT-HKG thing, but I usually don't sleep much in HKG!

Come on down!! You'll like the trips a lot, much more laid back than flying the Atlantic.

The nice thing about the LAX trips is a lot of the trips pass one or both directions through HNL which does a great job of taking the edge off. I'm generally good after about 24 hours.

The Japanese run a great airline out there.......whole different animal. You'll like it a lot!!
