There will be MD's on the next bid. Definitely on the DC-9 and maybe the CVG 73N to DTW.

More openings on the MD88 will soak up the DC9. I expect MEM and CVG to lose staffing and probably gains at DTW and NYC.

Displacements from the ER and 767 will be painful. The 737-800 is flying former 757 routes and leaving people at the gates.

Yup this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I don't get it.

Look at what was cut. It is all within easy access to CDG. Most are secondary cities that AF serves. It allows them to keep the 380 full in the off season.

Grupo AeroMexico, which controls Mexico's largest airline, said on Tuesday its passenger traffic in August increased 17 percent from a year earlier, helped by a jump in international bookings.

It's a good thing we are pulling down more flying, because there are only so many passengers out there. If we are going to invest in AeroMexico and help them to become the strong competitor they deserve to be, we need to give them a lot of passengers as well to make sure their planes are full. They only grew 17% last year, but hopefully with the help of our codeshare and all those tickets bought at Delta.com, this next year will be a more prosperous one for them.

I'm sure he got that. He just doesn't get how the least expensive skyteam provider (us) is the one that is always relinquishing the flying...or so it seems.

Maybe we should be the most expensive, then we would grow like gangbusters.

Has anyone heard any rumors about aircraft moving around, or anyone have any speculation? I know there was a lot of speculation of the airbus going to NYC, but haven't really heard much since then. Anything new? I'm particularly interested in speculation/rumors relating to DTW and MSP. I know rumors in this industry are pointless until they are fact, but I like to read about them anyway when I am bored! I saw Bucking Bar's post, thanks for your opinion, and ACL do you mean you think the 73N will be going to detroit? anyone else have thoughts on aircraft movement

Oh, just wait until they are parked at Concourse E (atl) and terminal 4 (JFK) in droves... Just what the ALPA boiler room said wouldnt happen...but it will.

Thank goodness for FPL...if not for FPL, those guys would never find the time to write about how we should put our heads in the sand.

C'mon apologists, I'm spoilin' for a duel. :p

OBTW. Watched the movie THOR. IMO, best action/sci-fi movie of the year.

Actually, at this point they arent rumors. Read the crew resources letter on dlnet, it will answer most, if not all of your questions.

Do you mean the letter that came out with the AE? I know that covers through March 2012, I was kinda wondering about after that, or is there another letter I am missing? Thanks
