Quote: You're not kidding. If those numbers are accurate I need to find out how to get a job at ALPA.
They are accurate. Unions have to provide that data to govt. I wouldn't leave Delta for one of those jobs though. Even though you would make a lot more money, they might be in for a layoff when we vote in the DPA.

Quote: It's funny that one of the web developers is named Charles Yeager.
That's not funny...it's the real Chuck Yeager. When he found out what ALPA employees make, he gave up that test pilot gig at Edwards AFB.

Quote: Anyone know if the ALPA employees took paycuts when their employers did?
Yes. Many of those salaries listed represent less than they were making during the healthy times.

On that note, would someone please refresh my recollection as to where the FPL resolutions made at the LEC level and forwarded to the MEC stand. The resolutions that reflect the will of the LEC members.
Hey guys I have a question. I was on RSV last month and was called on a long call day for a "how fast can you be here Green Slip" and told it would go above guarentee but at straight pay. When I looked at my check info for tomorrow's payday I only received regular credit /pay. It was a 6 hour GS so I thought it would be a 76 hour month but instead It only shows 71.

Is this because I wasn't over the GS trigger? I thought there wasn't a trigger for RSV's hence the rolling thunder legends, or is this simply because I took a GS on a long call day?

Thanks as always

You only get green pay for the time flown on days off.
If you were on a long call day when they called, then that day doesn't count.

Only the first Duty period in that instance goes over guarantee, or is paid like a green slip. The rest(day two which I assume is a regular reserve day) is paid and credited as a normal reserve day.

Check, check my response above. I have had that happen before and I have gotten GS pay for the first duty period even when on a long call reserve day.

You are correct.
Green pay applies even on an on-call day if you get less than 12 hours notice.

That's my understanding, if you are LC and are awarded a GS then the first day is GS pay- whatever that may be for you, but if I'm not mistaken you're back to non GS pay on the rest of your on-call days just like if GS a trip that goes from X-days into on-call days.

23.u.something: A long call reserve pilot who is awarded a GS rotation with a report that is within 12 hours of the first attempted contact will receive single pay, no credit for the first duty period of the rotation (in addition to any other pay and credit for the bid period).

Green Slips (GS)
A reserve pilot may submit a GS to fly on either on-call or X-days. A reserve pilot who has flown a GS rotation(s) will receive:
• single pay and credit for the portion of such rotation(s) flown on his reserve on-call days that occurred before the pilot’s accumulated credit exceeded the ALV (applied against his reserve guarantee), and
• single pay, no credit (in addition to any other form of pay and credit for the bid period) for the portion of such rotation(s) that:
• interrupted his X-day(s), or
• occurred after his accumulated credit equaled the ALV,
Note: A reserve pilot who flies a GS rotation into an X-day(s) is entitled to additional time free
of duty under Section 23 S. 11.

I actually called the Detroit dudes and asked vs asking here. They said that it's supposed to be resolved at the November MEC meeting.
And now for something completely different...
I have a long Pisa layover next month, and want to bring some friends. Does anyone know about rates and availability at our layover hotel?
