Yeah - No kidding. A few months ago I complained that our bid package was the worst I had even seen at DAL. Well we have a new winner the November DAL 737 Bid package:

58 rotations without red-eye flights.
74 rotations that include red-eye flights.

And for the piece de resistance - 45 four day rotations that include red-eyes and pay between 17 and 21 hours!!!

35% of our rotations are four day trips with red-eyes that pay less than 21 hours!!!!

Thanks to our great duty period average contract.

The ALPA guys keep saying that "in total" the Alaska code share is good for the Delta Pilots. Although I am doubtful of that comment, it is pretty clear the LAX guys are being disproportionately impacted by the Alaska agreement.

Scambo,

I'm just part of a test to figure out how much they will pay us for training on the new syllabus. Guess they have already done the DC-9 and the A320, now I'm going through the A330 course which takes effect in Dec. They are timing us going through the at home systems course to get an average time then see if we can actually pass the system validation.

I am fighting every professional bone in my body not to do any extra studying. Based on my end of section quizzes, my chance of passing the SV are slim and next to none based on one pass through the course. I'll need to go through the systems again at least once and then the LOD a few times in December to REALLY pass the test, but of course all on my own dime since we will only get paid 1 minute for 3 minutes of what average my group of 5 sets.

Now, if I pass on Thursday.............I'm a headed for Vegas baby, cuz I'll be one lucky dude

Who was that congresswoman or senator to be who made the comment "It is great to be here today with the great unwashed"? Not realizing what that really meant.

Default British Airways commercial

Best airline commercial I've seen yet!

Don't know how to embed the video so here's the link:

Hello? Yellow Cab? I need a ride to Laguardia... no wait, now it's Newark...No, no, now it's JFK, and HURRY!
Yeah... gotta love the $100 taxi + tolls + tips to get from Queens to EWR.

How do NYC crews handle that? Because I see 4-days that start and end in EWR on the 88 that show at 0600 and end at 2300.

Oh it was her. Yeah she is a politician too!

That's pretty funny:

It’s not as bad as it sounds. She didn’t mean it in a “these ignorant peasants sure do smell when they haven’t bathed” way. She meant it in a “I love to chat with these ignorant peasants no matter what they smell like” way. She’s a people person, guys. Accept it.
