It will never match what Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (representative of the district including the Johnson Space Center) asked at a hearing. When NASA reps were there testifying and showing video of one of the Mars rovers, Ms Lee asked: "Can we drive that thing over to where Neil Armstrong landed?"

That'd be one hell of a drive...

There will be no loss of training capacity with the simulator move. Two simulators have already been contracted out to cover the two that will be down.
