Okay, stupid question?

I haven't been flying very much. In fact, it's been a month since I've even been to the airport. But I thought I had pretty much kept up with everything. What the heck is an "ADR"? And why is this the first I've heard about it?! Also, on the "red" aircraft... I know what LIDS is but thought it was found in the back of the aircraft log book and did NOT know it was delivered as part of "paperwork delivered before main door closure." Did I miss something?

The LAX 737 category basically lost almost all of our North-South West coast flying. The end result is our bid package is atrocious. 35% of our rotations are 4 day trips with red-eyes that pay between 17 and 21 hours.

LAX has 45 of these uber-crappy rotations.
SLC has 11.
CVG has 4.

The LAX category is much smaller than both of those bases.

So basically DALPA is saying: The code-share with Alaska is good. What they are not saying is that the pain is all being felt in one category - LAX 737.

Is this how a union is supposed to act?

How would guys in any other category feel is DALPA allowed management to carve out exceptions to our code share/DCI agreement that was basically all shouldered by one category? This is exactly what is happening to the LAX 737 guys.

So yes, George has a good reason to concentrate on the Alaska code share.

Scoop

Scoop, IMHO we should make it more painful to close a base, and make the call in honest truly that;not subject to punitive measures.

P.S. At least it's sunny in LA!

Was there a press release, or was this discovered by looking at parts left on the runway?

On LA Weather (movie trivia):
Guy: Harry, should you be pretaping the weather report?
Weathercaster: The weekends are very tough for me to come in. You can imagine my busy weekend schedule. Besides, this is L.A. What's going to change?

You got me. I don't think I've ever seen an NDR so its doubtful that I'll even notice the new and improved ADR. Besides, aren't the inop or deferred items already listed on the flight plan AND in the log book? How much input do we have to have that the coffee maker in the rear left galley is inop?

SWAPA considers our Duty and Trip Rigs to be the strongest in the industry, as they protect pilot productivity and efficiency.
• Minimum Daily guarantee is 6.5 TFP; Ex., a 3-day trip pays a minimum of 19.5 TFP .
• Duty hour rig is .74 TFP per hour, minimum.
• Reserve guarantee is 90 TFP per month; but actual months pay average around 105 TFP .
• Reserves are allowed to pick-up extra flying.
• Holidays pay 150 percent.
• Open Time trips pay up to 150 percent.

Please take note here....THREE day trip in example....not four.

Ouch! Boy that hurts.

Yeah yeah, if the engines say Pratt and Whitney...

I guess RR wants in on the GTF, maybe they'll hang it off the 767 and call it the 767-9, it would fly circles around the 787...

Cheers
