Even I must admit. I would like to see this in DAL Colors.
Anyone know what a "CG Management System" is? http://www.super98.com/images/pages/717/717_Small.jpg http://www.super98.com/images/pages/...-II_Config.jpg I don't know about CG Management on this thing, but on the MD 11, there is a system that moves the fuel around, from the wings to the tail after take off during climb, to get the CG back to 32% at cruise, then it runs the fuel back to the wings for a 25% CG for landing. Unless they add a lot of plumbing, I don't see it happening on this "Upgraded" DC9. |

The plumbing is there since the fuel has to go to the motors anyway. I bet there's a little surge tank in the tail that get filled up for cruise... Cheers George |

And the company is looking for concessions, does that ring a bell? Cheers George |

I almost feel like I'm wasting my breath giving a detailed response to the SCOPE section of the survey. I hope I'm wrong, but it'll be interesting to see the collective will of the pilot group wrt SCOPE.
If the UCAL pilots are willing to push for tighter scope (ie no jets over 50 seats) then why aren't we? Belonging to this utterly conflicted union of ALPA is going to be very difficult to make any gains in scope. We will have to fight ALPA every bit as hard as management to even hold the current line on scope. I'm all for the fight, but it's definitely going to be a fight. Carl |

Half prior to top of descent they hand out two day old Moe's burritos in coach and lock the aft lav. Also helps reduce turn time from 47 to 18 minutes. |

Cheers George OR...just tell all the Buffarillo's they have to work in the back during cruise! I can hear the briefing now, "All you Big Gals, Do NOT come foreward of the overwing exits until we put the gear down, or we won't have enough fuel to get to LAX..." :p (the Pink face is for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Save the TaTa's!) http://www.savethetatas.com/ |
