Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Anthony Bourdain said Accra was his favorite dining destination...in the world. He liked the beer, the "Chop Houses" and various other dining establishments. If you don't get malaria, we expect a full report.
Why aren't we buying the 737 MAX ?
Well, the first question is: Were you an MD? You bid your vacation based on the category you are in when the vacation bids close. MD's keep their vacations from their previous category. If you are any thing else (AE/VD) you will have to rebid vacation when converted.
If you are converted on 31jan2012, depending on how many weeks vacation you have, you will bid them in January (unless you have more than 2 weeks). The relevant section of the contract is section 7. Here is part of it:

7. A pilot who:
a. converts into another category pursuant to:
1) an advance entitlement or voluntary displacement:
a) will be notified via DBMS to re-bid his unused vacation period(s) through the vacation move-up process.
b) will change any previously awarded and unused vacation period(s) through the vacation move-up process.
c) may be assigned an available vacation period, in inverse seniority order, if he does not change his previously awarded and unused vacation period(s) through the vacation move-up process.
2) a mandatory displacement, may retain his previously awarded unused vacation period(s).

I am an AE, converting to the new NYC 320 base in Feb, when they say it will (or might?) officially open. It looks to me like I will be one of the first to convert in the category, so I guess it doesn't matter a hill of beans. If I bid vacation in my old position, and have to rebid, I'll be at the top of the heap.
Secondary question: how much do you get paid if you are in training the entire month?

You can't have one without the other.
I join with 80 to Tebow for you to see the errors of your ways. See I don't gossip. I just Tebow out loud and if you over hear me, that's your problem. I was over here reading my VOL 1 and Tebowing.
