Given Comair's treatment of mainline guys during BK, I have zero sympathy for your "plight." You do work there voluntarily, right?

Want mainline benefits? Get hired at the mainline.
So you're saying the solution is I should get hired by mainline? That's been the plan since Spring of 2000.

It would be a shame if one of the furloughed guys you hosed was on your interview panel.

I feel so honored to be featured in the mockup for the CS100.

No cone of shame for that picture!

No need to twist the knife. It's been hashed out many times that Boomer and a majority of the other FO's at Comair weren't even there when the whole seniority grab deal went down. They had nothing to do with not taking Delta furloughees.

From what I've seen in his posts, I'd like to fly with him someday. Seems like a guy that can keep his sense of humor despite the #hitstorm swirling around him. That goes for the other Comair pilots that have welcomed me onto their jumpseats over the years. I wish them the best of luck.

I don't like the RJ situation anymore than you probably do, but there's no reason to take it to the gutter and get personal. These guys are just as good and professional as we are. Their timing and luck just sucks a little more . . . . so far. Karma's a beyotch.

Not a bunch, but enough to get most of the 60% or so of commuters across the industry to work and back. That's just a reality of the industry. Besides, even if everyone lived in base (never going to happen) 100% load factors actually harm an airline. One flight cancels and that city pair is trashed for the rest of the day or more. One storm rolls through for a couple hours and the operation takes a week or more to recover.

The guys I hosed? How many times do we need to go back to this? I don't come on here to rub your nose in how great Comair is and Delta sucks and hooray for JC Lawson.

If you find me sounding that way let me know and I'll take it back.

I come on here to hear about your problems and Carl's problems and 80EffenFTBuzzBid's problems and look forward to the day those can be my problems too.

I mostly lurk, but if I can take a kitten jab at the SWA guys or throw in the perspective of a tired regional guy, I'll speak up.

I'm sorry that you retreat into your angry place when you hear the name Comair.

Boomer,

I have no use whatsoever for the Comair guys who were involved with shafting our furloughed pilots or trying to make a seniority grab onto our seniority list. But you've made it clear you were not involved in any of that. And I enjoy your posts here. I hope you'll stick around and I hope I get to fly with you some day.

Sweet-2 more months and we'll be below 12,000 (not talking about the DOW). At least ALK is adding large %s.
