I took a week and that was pushing it a little. I was hurting on my next trip. 'Course I usually am climbing into and out of the 73.

Me, "Because I've got a Vasectomy scheduled the day beore the trip."

Him, "Ouch! Ok , no problem, take as much time as you need."

My next call was to the Chief Pilot. I told him I had just called in sick for the trip next week, and why. He said, "No problem, it usually takes about 3-4 days to recover, then you should be good to go."

I said, "I don't feel too good right now, just thinking about it, I might have to call in sick for tomorrow's trip!" He just laughed and said, "What ever it takes, come back when you feel better."

After the operation my Doctor said, "No heavy lifting for at least a week." I took that to mean, do not lift a 150,000lb. 727 off the ground for at least a week, so I sicked out of another trip, just to be sure.

I did feel like a horse had kicked me in the nutz for about a week afterwards, glad I was on the couch, not in a cockpit. By about 6 weeks later, it was functioning normally.
Thanks Timbo, good information.

I know, the thought of the entire thing makes me sweat with nervousness.

Default Slot swap finished

ATLANTA (AP) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. said Tuesday that it closed a deal that will let it expand flights at New York's LaGuardia Airport and let US Airways increase its flights at Washington, D.C.'s Reagan National Airport.

In exchange for 132 slot pairs at LaGuardia, Delta gave US Airways Group Inc. 42 pairs of takeoff and landing slots at Reagan National Airport plus $66.5 million and rights to a route to Brazil in 2015.

Regulators required Delta and US Airways each to sell some slots at each airport.

JetBlue Airways Corp. and Canada's WestJet were the winning bidders. JetBlue paid $72 million for eight slot pairs at each airport, while WestJet paid $17.6 million for eight slot pairs at LaGuardia.

Delta said that with the new slots, it would expand and upgrade its LaGuardia facilities to create a hub operation.

US Airways said its new slots at Reagan National would let it add flights on current routes to and from Washington and to serve additional cities from that airport.

The airlines did not announce their expanded schedules at the two airports.

Delta shares fell 51 cents, or 6 percent, to close at $7.99, but they recovered 10 cents after hours.

US Airways dropped 44 cents, or 7.8 percent, to close at $5.19 and recovered a penny after hours.

Airlines were hammered Tuesday by the combination of an overall decline in stocks and a rise in oil prices, which could translate to higher jet fuel expenses.

Get some extra ice, you'll need to pack your package for a couple days and lay on the couch. It's great because the wife feels so guilty, you won't even have to take out the trash, just drink beer and watch football!

Oh, and obey the Doctor's rules, ie. take it easy! I had a friend who didn't. He's a real stud. (or thinks he is) He got back on his road bicycle a couple days afterwards, and went right back into his regular workout routine, even flew a trip 3 days afterwards.

BUT...6 weeks later, he FLUNKED his squirt test, and had to have ANOTHER vasectomy!! Back then they put small metal clips on your tubes. I guess all his activity jarred one loose and he was still shooting bullets instead of blanks. Not sure what they are using these days, but relax, use it as an excuse to watch football.

Oh, and you may want to practice your Tebow pose...

You are welcome.

Sorry I don't have a video of my vasectomy but that was way before digital cameras and You Tube.

BUT...here's what I did find on You Tube! Do you live in Cali? You may have to take a Class!

When I got mine, it took about three days to be back to normal activity. My wife, however, thought I was in moderate pain for a week. I sicked out for two four-days and drank beer, ate junk food, and watched TV. ESPN Classic is like a time machine.

Incidentally, I rotated two bags of frozen peas on my junk and later served both to my family.

Good luck. (It pays off, by the way )
