Sailing you never mentioned double pay. :D

I didn't know that.

Pays to have a Sailing around... even if he won't put a picture up for his avatar.

I mean you have a plethora of pictures involving bikini's are some that are a little more poetic:

FTB and Jesse,

What Sailing says is spot on.

In my opinion crew scheduling will generally try and follow the contract, but they will ignore it if in a jam and sometimes they just plain make mistakes. But the terms are part of our contract. If you just let them "get away with it", they will.

However, if pilots hold scheduling's feet to the fire they will pay more attention as it'll cost them when they make mistakes. Delta does not like paying out extra money because of errors by crew scheduling.

Not if you are on RES. you might "request" a specific rotation, but like the rest of the contracts regarding RES, it is the schedulers discretion. This is one of the reasons RES sucks so bad. If you are on RES, and they assign you a trip that you are legal for, you have no grievance to file. If they run you out of sequence, maybe. But that is hard to tell due to the buckets, and the res availability list containing no real information.

This part of the contract needs to change. Should, might, attempt, try, and may are words that need to be deleted from the contract.

What the hell!!! Why would you put a picture of a guy on this board? I'm offended.

Kudos to the scheduling guys...just delivered an extra 2 hours of pay for surface DH to myself and the other 3 guys from a charter back in October. Merry Christmas!

Just a quick question for reserve guys - if you put in a PCS YS for a specific trip did it work or did you have to call to help ensure it was done right?

Scheduling usually assigns open time for the next day in the morning of the previous day (more than 12 hours from report). When a rotation is greater than 12 hours, Long Call Res are higher on the ladder than YS'ers. So the schedulers are only looking at the long call list and assign the first rot to the first Res person and so on until all the open time is assigned (No reason to look at YS'ers). If report is less than 12 hours, then YS'ers are higher on the list than long call res. So having a YS in for a trip that is more than 12 hours out does no good. This happened to a friend who was trying to get a commutable trip over Thanksgiving. She was lower on the list than me and was upset that she didn't get the rotation she YS'd for, which the schedulers gave to me. She called and asked if we could switch and they said No because they had to follow the more than 12 hour ladder.

So while on Reserve you never get what you want. I wanted a rot where I'd be in ORL tonight instead of MKE. No Dice
