Hey guys I need some advice for my bid next month. I'm being MD to the DC9 and training starts Feb 12th, is there any advantage or disadvantage to bidding x days before or after training pay wise, or will I get 70 hrs no matter what?
-Thanks |

I had implants last year with the Delta Dental plan that DAL offers. They balked when the periodontist filed the claim for the implants themselves, apparently because the office didn't file an advance estimate letter. Dentist's office absorbed most of that lost coverage but I paid 50%, which is the standard coverage for implants. The "teeth" were put on later and Delta Dental covered the standard 50%. I think the key is the advance letter BEFORE you have the work done.

TGE airport isn't where they were trained. The actual base is NW of TGE north side of I-85. You can still see the multi runway layout and the main base area. It's owned by some company in Georgia the last I was aware of. There's also a field east of MGM ( Taylor Field) that was a WWI training base. A marker is there and you can still see building foundations. Mostly subdivisions now though where the field was.
Hoser I had heard the airport you talk about was where they did training and B25 training but not sure if that was correct or not. One thing about Moton field is I never went there at night for landings, we had someone nail a deer there on a touch n go but I found people used it for drag racing, sometimes with their lights off so as not to be seen. It was mostly unattended there. |
I DO like who he appointed. It's the way he goes about nearly everything he does that ticks me off. To think that this "appointment" is a "win", is extremely short-sighted. .....

Speaking of politics, anyone want to tell us what massive military budget cuts may do to Delta pilot staffing? For example maybe cuts in charter, or guys on MLOA returning (no hiring needed) to a lot of MIL on next hiring trickle which many thought wouldn't happen.
Insiders have any thoughts on what may happen? |
