APC is as "Public" as they come, without even so much as a registration fee to slow down someone registering.
FWIW, and at the risk of getting me perma-banned, I recommended to a few people a year or so ago that we take our little gang and head to somewhere else that was a LITTLE more private, with no ads, and a hands off approach.
We could be a little more open because cards would be checked at the door, and I had a "blind" forum manager that would keep things anonymous.
But it was $10 a head, and no one wanted to do that.

The one thing about this versus the ALPA thread, it's anonymous. And that's important. Now I know with some effort you can figure out who people are or ask the right person. But still I like the anonymity, although I don't mind showing you a pic of me...
